I wasn't asking for your political stance. You obviously have the opinion you do because you agree with HWJ. So therefore you are biased.

Now if we can just get Big and Rich to do the same, maybe we can get rid of the 5 year old intro to College Gameday. I despise that song.

that's very true, but I wonder if the same thing would have happened if it'd been the Dixie Chicks comparing W to Hitler

they went from one of the biggest country artists in america to being banned on many radio stations after they made their statement(s) about dubya, so yeah.

ESPN is doing their best to alienate fans. They are so far removed from sports it's not even funny. They are gaining on TMZ. One second it's about arrests, the next second about cheating, divorce, drug addiction, cancer etc. It goes on and on. Now you've got a sports station firing musicians for having a political belief. Awesome...

I never used to mind paparazzi filming famous people. After all, they should have known what they were getting into when they became famous. Plus, the fans are the reason they are famous and made them lots of money in the process. But not even being allowed to have an opinion is absurd. At this point, you'd be better off being an average citizen. Apparently these people(celebs) are not only suppose to hide out in their home so they aren't harassed, but they're not even allowed to have an opinion. Sweet....

I'd be more worried about ESPN reaching out to the Dixie Chicks in the first place.

Wrong. He was saying that Boehner and Obama are pretty much enemies and Hitler and the PM of Israel would be enemies. So enemies should not play golf together. The liberal ESPN just folds to anything negative about Barry.

Care to explain the liberal lean of ESPN?

ESPN hates anything that "we" like. UT for example... Isn't it obvious that the network that hired (and fired) Rush Limbaugh just hates conservatives? I don't buy it. This was a business decision. I bet they bring Hank, and the song, back within a year or two.

If they don't bring it back, how will they gauge how ready we are to watch their crappy matchups?

Nobody said he can't have an opinion. And I'm sure there are a lot of opinions he could have expressed that would have been overlooked. Dropping a Hitler reference is just not one of them.

ESPN's decision was easy.

He should have been fired just for deciding to go on Fox & Friends.
Regardless of your political affiliation, that show is a complete joke.

Considering you gave zero examples of ESPN showing a liberal bias, then yes.

They are owned by ABC, a very liberal network. Every March they bring Barry on to go over his NCAA bracket and they keep everyone updated though the tourney on his picks. No Republican does a bracket? A few years ago when the Saints were doing well that year after the hurricane John Saunders took a shot at Bush on the Sports Reporters, did he get fired or even suspended?

Anybody trying to make this as a liberal bias thing is reaching. If you represent a brand and you say something stupid that may damage the brand . . . the brand cuts ties with you. It's no more complicated than that.
