Names to watch

Covers most of the bases, minus Fisher and Stoops. Would link but it is subscription based.

Call me crazy, but after looking at Gary Andersen's bio on wiki I am pretty impressed. He took Auburn to the end last year, and his on losses this year are to Wisconsin (barely) and a super low scoring game against byu. He is doing really good things with Utah States football team. He is probably not the best hire for Tennessee, but some team will be very lucky to get him

Dooley played LSU close in 2009 while at La Tech and we all know what he did at Tennessee. You have to win, not play close.

No more on the job training, we need a stud.

I completely agree that he is probably not the right fit for this coaching search. Just saying that he is better than some people would think...

First, scratch off all assistants, we can not go that route this time.

Second, scratch off any Bammers - They suck and we don't need them.

Third, scratch off coached from inferior conferences as that doesnt work as Doofus has shown.

Finally, scratch off Cutcliff and other old tennessee assistants as our coach.

There is your list.

How can he compete with Saban, RIcht, Muschamp etc for recruits? We need a guy that can come right in and get us back in the top 10 in recruiting!

That is the only way to get this thing a pulse again in the next 2-3 years.

Agreed! Been saying this for weeks. The only way we are going to get this turned around in a relatively short amount of time is if we get somebody that not only can get the most out what we currently have, but also with enough clout to create an immediate seismic shift in the current recruiting landscape! That means a minimum of 2-3 years of top 3-5 ranked recruiting classes in the SEC. Otherwise we are looking at minimum a 4-5 year rebuilding project!!

Malzahn can compete for recruits...His offense will draw excellent players...Just get him a top notch DC and we'll be in the hunt in no time...He's a good guy and flashing that NC ring he has at potential recruits won't hurt either.

ESPN Insider probably has the same list for Auburn and Arkansas as well..

NO to both Cutcliff and Al Golden...Neither have exactly set the woods on fire as HC's.
NO to Tommy Tubberville two. Both were already fired from SEC schools. Retreads.

Heck I'd take James Franklin over half that crappy list.
