www.espn.com
Top 12 has:
1. Texas
2. Oregon
3. Penn State
4. Ohio State
5. Georgia
6. Alabama
7. Miami
8. Clemson
9. BYU
10. Boise State (WTF)
11. LSU
12. Iowa State
Poll looks like a joke IMO with Boise State and Iowa State
Now that ESPN and the billionaires own College Football, their bias against SEC will show through. Does anyone really believe Penn State or Oregon would win the SEC? I don't. Boise State #10 is a joke. This is all about hyping things for the ridiculous 12 team playoff. Automatic bids go to the Power 4 Champions and I think they get the byes. The SEC, Big10, Big 12, and ACC get bids (NO matter where they are ranked.) Then the 5th automatic bid goes to the highest ranked Conference Champion. Now that is Boise State. Then they take the 7 highest ranked teams regardless of Conference. IF I understand the seeding correctly: Using the AP rankiings, this is what would happen today.
1. Texas--SEC Champion -- #1 Seed
2. Oregon-Big 10 Champion -- #2 Seed
3. Miami-ACC Champion -- #3 Seed
4. BYU-Big 12 Champion -- #4 Seed
5. Boise State-Mt. West Champion --#10 Seed
Now the top 7 ranked teams that are left
6. Penn St. -- #5 Seed
7. Ohio St. -- #6 Seed
8, Georgia -- #7 Seed
9. Alabama -- #8 Seed
10. Clemson --#9 Seed
11. LSU --#11 Seed
12. Iowa State --#12 Seed
Penn St. would play Iowa State @ Penn St The winner would play BYU
Ohio St. would play LSU @ Ohio St. The winner would play Miami
Georgia would play Boise St. @ Georgia The winner would lay Oregon
Alabama would play Clemson @ Alabama Then winner would play Texas
