ESPN is off Tennessee and SEC bandwagon

Each game is week-to-week, more than ever, with NIL. There is more "parity." The business or saying "top 10 team" or "top 15 team" aren't going to hold as much influence as before.

Top 12 has:

1. Texas
2. Oregon
3. Penn State
4. Ohio State
5. Georgia
6. Alabama
7. Miami
8. Clemson
9. BYU
10. Boise State (WTF)
11. LSU
12. Iowa State

Poll looks like a joke IMO with Boise State and Iowa State
Now that ESPN and the billionaires own College Football, their bias against SEC will show through. Does anyone really believe Penn State or Oregon would win the SEC? I don't. Boise State #10 is a joke. This is all about hyping things for the ridiculous 12 team playoff. Automatic bids go to the Power 4 Champions and I think they get the byes. The SEC, Big10, Big 12, and ACC get bids (NO matter where they are ranked.) Then the 5th automatic bid goes to the highest ranked Conference Champion. Now that is Boise State. Then they take the 7 highest ranked teams regardless of Conference. IF I understand the seeding correctly: Using the AP rankiings, this is what would happen today.
1. Texas--SEC Champion -- #1 Seed
2. Oregon-Big 10 Champion -- #2 Seed
3. Miami-ACC Champion -- #3 Seed
4. BYU-Big 12 Champion -- #4 Seed
5. Boise State-Mt. West Champion --#10 Seed
Now the top 7 ranked teams that are left
6. Penn St. -- #5 Seed
7. Ohio St. -- #6 Seed
8, Georgia -- #7 Seed
9. Alabama -- #8 Seed
10. Clemson --#9 Seed
11. LSU --#11 Seed
12. Iowa State --#12 Seed

Penn St. would play Iowa State @ Penn St The winner would play BYU
Ohio St. would play LSU @ Ohio St. The winner would play Miami
Georgia would play Boise St. @ Georgia The winner would lay Oregon
Alabama would play Clemson @ Alabama Then winner would play Texas

The way I see it is the SEC is pretty much stacked top to bottom with the exception of a couple of teams. The ACC is a joke and the Big Ten is very top heavy. You have to bring it every week in our conference. I mean at this point in the season who had Vandy at 5-2?

B1G isn't my issue, Big12 and ACC are. Clemson got smacked around by Georgia and look how high they are ranked. Iowa State is another fraud.

The article is also very down on Alabama and Georgia for "struggling" but they like Penn State, Clemson, Iowa State, etc.
Those three would lose a minimum of three games in the sec this year. Penn States big win at Sc is a joke. They play absolutely no defense. Who’s Clemson beat .

We look like Penn State with the gritty defense and no offense lol.

Penn State is likely a lock, I don't see them dropping a lot of games with their schedule. However, they will also probably be a 1 and done team.

No need for all of the consternation.

If any SEC team finishes 10-2 or better, they will be in. Even 9-3 likely gets them in some seasons.

Vols have to execute better on offense. Period. And the drop dead date to get there likely is the game after the bye. And, no, I’m not that confident that we can make that improvement.

But, either way, there is no need to care that much about the polls. Just win, baby!

you have to have one G5 team and they project Boise State. There are many G5 teams with a chance to make the 12 team. Iowa State is undefeated. They could win the Big 12 conference. They and BYU don't play but both could be undefeated and play in the Big 12 championship game.

Texas A&M is one SEC team with a good schedule that they over looked.

There are a lot of teams that still are in play from the major conferences as well. The next two weekends should start to weed out many of them.

Someone from the SEC will win the national championship this year, if you’ve watched those other teams mentioned play, that aren’t very good to compare to an SEC team

What if Vandy wins the SEC? What would the rankings look like? Would ESPN have a stroke because a Tennessee team won the SEC?

Ummmm I don’t really consider them a real Tennessee team . They are in Nashville but that’s about it.

Good....hopefully all of the so called experts pick Bama. I know this team is capable of beating anyone if the offense starts clicking and Bama is there for the taking right now. Win this and our season is still on track to be special.
