Until we start winning some dame ball games there's no reason to think we're any better than 50

It where others have Tennessee as well. I'm surprised that Kentucky is that high.

Cannot see KY winning a conference game unless they upset Vandy, no way in he77 they finish that high. With the UT schedule, if the Vols win 6 and go bowling, they will be higher.

What do the numbers represent? What categories?

Not surprising. We had 2 great recruiting classes. So what? Still gotta prove it on the field and win games. Newly recruited talent may bust just as well as succeed, so you can't base power rankings on "expected" power unless you justify that that's what you're basing it on.

We've had one great recruiting class. Lets not get ahead of ourselves.

If you look at the rankings, though, part of our problem is how tough the SEC is top to bottom.

We would be in the top eight in the ACC, top 6 in the Big 12 and 6th in the Big 10. We're 12th in the SEC.

Kinda hard to make progress quickly when you have those numbers against you.

Yes we got work to do on this recruiting class before we call it a great recruiting class looking good so far but a long way to go before NSD, but the recruiting class is looking good when we get some big DLTHEN WE CAN GRIN A LITTLE.:)

+1 I think I counted 10 SEC teams above us, and most by quite a large margin. On paper, we do look like a 6 - 6 team agiant the schedule we have. What would really help our cause would be to beat two of FL, SC, GA, and MO, and win all the other games where we're favorites. Finishing 7 - 5 would be the key sign that we are moving forward, 8 - 5 with a bowl win would be fantastic! I never though I'd have to say that, but the last several years have been awfully hard to swallow.

If our d really is 38 in the country we will do fine. The o will be alright no matter which qb starts.
