SOS rankings that come out at the beginning of the year don't mean dick either. What is the SOS at the end of the year? How many bowl teams did they play?

playing bowl teams is not that impressive when you consider how many 6-6 teams get into one every year now

Penn St., Michigan, Purdue, UCLA, and USC do not count because they play in easy conferences. So that leaves...GT and Navy...I know that Navy was a big win for you guys. Also, the ACC wasn't that big of a conference this year so the GT win by 4 points makes ya'll look even better.

In contrast to your monsterous win over Air Farce by 1 point. If you're going to play that game, then you better beat Penn State by more than 24.

I just feel sorry that you are going to lose to LSU by more than we did. Probably a lot more. You will not hang with them. Your secondary is too slow for their big time receivers. One game doesn't mean anything. Come back here when you actually play someone decent and win by more than a field goal. Then we can talk.

I bet they'll struggle like they did the last time we played one of those big and scarry SEC teams. They also had fast receivers and our poor, slow DBs didn't stand a chance.... ND 41 UT 21. Merry Christmas and good luck against Penn State.

Surely you can see the difference between 5-6 2005 Tennessee and 10-2 2006 LSU, right?

There are some distinct differences, primarily in coaching. But UT has had talent out the yang for nearly a decade. Furthermore, UT beat LSU (which is essentially the same team) last year - in Red Stick - so I really don't think it is/was a matter of talent.

Essentially the same team? Are you crazy? If you don't know anything about UT you shouldn't come to a UT board and talk out of your butt. Know your facts before you start rambling on about ND. This is the reason why everyone hates ND. Arrogance. Like I said before, join a "real" conference and then come talk to me about how much better ND is than UT.

If the big and bad fighting OVERRATED Irish played in the SEC against those big and scarry as you refer to them teams, they would be lucky to win 4 games.

No...then they would just schedule Ole Miss, Miss St., Vanderbilt, Kentucky, Alabama, and South Carolina, but would soon find out that they are a lot tougher than Navy and Stanford.

I'm not sure what you've been seeing, but 06 LSU is leaps and bounds better than 05 UT. They're better at every single position. Not even close.

What was arrogant about that post? Do you even know what that word means? If you are not going have an intelligent discussion, don't respond.

Foster played at least half of the season last year. Your receivers are the same. QB - same. I'll admist your OL was rebuilt, but still have Sears. Essentially was the wrong word - key players returned. Your defensive front seven only returned one starter, but they were 2nd in rush defense, so you actually took a step back. DBs all returned.

So I'll say it again - the only MAJOR difference is coaching and the stupid off-field activities.

Thats where your wrong....sure we had the same WR's and Ainge physically, but they are not the same players.

against everyone except Tennessee. That being said I think the Irish are a lot like Alabama - much of their luster has vanished and not sure it will ever be what it once was.

ND is exactly like Bama, delusional, they're like the 49yr old prom queen that believes the young guys still think she's hot.

i was 16 at the time of the 1999 game and loved the song "Livin La Vida Loca" by Ricky Martin.

That was a long time ago.... congrats for beating a Bob Davie team, though

Any word on where Donald may be leaning? If we lose Smith, Tate and Donald to ND, I think that we will become the ND of the early 2000s. Weis sure can recruit, and now we've got Saban to deal with.
Just another good reason why Fulmer needs to go.

interesting note on Donald: he has not been listed in the top 25 stock report at the AAA practices. Linebackers Allen Bailey (no verbal yet), Aaron Nagle (ND verbal), J'Courtney Williams (Virginia verbal) and Lorenzo Edwards (no verbal yet) are the LB's that are mentioned in the stock report. does anyone know why?
