...will remain in Big 12 (10) (9), only if Commissioner Don Bebe is removed AND if there is better revenue sharing from the Longhorn Network.

With that being said, I would say it's a pretty safe bet that Oklahoma is going to be shopping for a new conference.

Beebe just needs a majority of the schools vote to be out

He's likely good as gone

OU would be a great addition to the SEC if the Big 12 implodes. I would hate to see the Pac 10/12..whatever.....get both OU and Texas.

Texas won't come here unless you say "yes you can keep your ESPN deal, your LHN, and all your LHN money, thus making you much more than any other team in the conference (and avoiding the tv rules in place)"

Why doesn't OU want to be in the SEC, IYO? Is it just b/c the SEC doesn't want Ok St?

There's supposedly a bit more than that...along the lines of just not liking what the conference does for their university's (not just football team's) image, among other things. It's not a very pleasing idea or option to those in charge at the school

Oklahoma, OK State and Missouri.

if the conference is willing to expand to 16, that'd be a good move

we'd still need though either the big 12 to agree on not firing Bebe (unlikely) or Texas getting upset at the restraints on its network, and the conference falling apart because the chose to take their ball and go....i guess independent or to the ACC would be the last options

I would think they'd be willing to expand for Oklahoma. I just don't think OU would want this. I think they'd be more interested in the Big 10

hm, that'd actually be interesting. Im not sure what the B1G's opinions or thoughts towards OU...is OU an AAU by the way?

Not sure about AAU. But I know the B1G would want them

Every Big Ten school , except Nebraska, is a member of the AAU. Nebraska was a member of the AAU but was recently de-listed.

OU is not a member of the AAU.

how clay travis words it:

Congrats to Texas, they saved the Big 12 by being so greedy that the Pac 12 wasn't willing to bring the Longhorns in to the conference. In the process the Longhorns also killed Oklahoma's options to join the conference, which was really what Texas wanted all along, everyone stuck in the Big 12 with no other options.

Why are the mad at Beebe?

he's pretty much been texas's puppet and let them do whatever they wanted during this whole network fiasco

he wasn't able to stop Nebraska or Colorado or aTm from leaving, nor has he been able to provide any stability in the time after any of these moves

he's pretty much blamed as why the conference is falling apart / teams are being picked off

So true. A commissioner shouldn't play favorites and the draw to being in a conference such as the SEC or Pac 12 even is that there is equal parody among all institutions, or at leas the opportunity for equal parody. The Big 12/10/9, Beebe and the rest of the ones involved are nothing more than Texas University's beyotch. Ridiculous.

He has allowed Texas to have its way with the conference. As it originated, the Big 12 was the Big 8 conference that brought in Texas, A&M, Tech and Baylor. But quickly the legacy powers that were - Nebraska, Colorado, etc., were being pushed around by Texas. One example, conference headquarters were in Kansas City and then were moved to Dallas. Imagine Texas coming into the SEC and trying to move SEC headquarters from Birmingham to Dallas.
