I don't understand the disinterest from OU towards the SEC.. Can anyone explain this to me? Someone said they don't like how we market our schools and teams.. How is this so? Are we inept compared to other conferences in this department? I don't see any reason they should dislike the SEC. Not implying they should be falling over themselves to get in, but I don't see how it would be bad for their athletics. Especially considering we have A&M now and they played at FSU to help begin recruiting those fertile grounds.

Because Stoops would have to potentially play in a conference championship game, and well he isn't the best at doing that.

He's actually done pretty well in the big 12's though

So this is yet another case of a good football team that doesn't want to join a conference that will make it harder for them to win it all every year?

Sheesh, at this rate, instead of conferences consolidating, we'll need to have 25 conferences so that all the wanna-bes can win their own little conferences of 1.

I heard that OU wants to start their own network in the near future and that will mean Texas and them will be back at it with each other soon so here's to the Big 12 Comedy Conference for keeping all of us entertained for years to come.

Texas is the most valuable brand in cfb, but ou is crazy if they think they have the kind of rep to start their own national network.

Guess stepping down looks better then being fired by the schools. Now texas can hire him to work for them since he was their yes man.

Oklahoma ought to grab the remaining bxii schools along with houston, rice, smu and tulsa or someone, start a new swc and leave tu behind.
