Make fun of UT all you want. But realize that without pearl, they could struggle to win 20 games next year too.

Depends on the coach we hire. This a program that is much more ready to have success than when Bruce got here. Tennessee is considered a very good job and a lot of coaches would come here in a heartbeat.

Until Pearl, Jerry Green had the most wins in a season with 26. It would likely be impossible for any other coach, other than Pearl to win 20 games. Only Mears, Devoe, and Green have been able to reach that level of success. If Devoe could have recruited, he would have exceeded the success of any coach in UT history. You are correct Green should go into the Hall for reaching that pinnacle of success at UT.

Yeah, the fact Jerry Green could do it shows what a momentous achievement winning 20 is at UT. His post Tennessee career shows what a gem we had in Uncle Jed.

We already have the talent in place to do big things in the short term, and all the exposure Bruce Almighty has brought us should let the momentum carry on regardless of the outcome... Unless we have another coach of the same ilk as Buzz "I don't know what is going on" Peterson in place. That said, I am not speculating on whether Bruce will be here or not after this upcoming season. Until the bomb hits, I am not looking for shelter

The last I heard from Jed a caller on Basillio saw him at Myrtle Beach and that was probably 4 years ago. Has he done anything since 01?
