I can't link due to our web filter. Did anyone get a higher mark than us? What was Mizzou's grade? Did they create a new scale just to fit Haith in there? LMAO

Missouri got an F. It appeared Brennan was bothered he even had to take the time to find words to describe how awful a hire that was.

Words cannot say how awful that hire was. Has Al Davis become the solitary donor of significance at Mizzou or something? I just cannot fathom how you can promote a guy who had one of, if not the hottest seat in the ACC to a tradition laden program like Mizzou...

Pete Rose and Tim Donoghy think Mizzou is tanking for profit

There were some incredibly awful hirings during this cycle. If you are grading on the curve, UT's hiring of Martin certainly deserves a good mark.

Billy Gillespie at Texas Tech gets a B- ?

Seriously?
All the commentators and columnists feel the need to temper their assessment of what is an incredible hire for Tech, less they draw the ire of MADD or similar whiny interest groups.

I completely agree. Of all the changes made this season, I truly believe in 3 years we'll be able to look back and say that undoubtedly UT and AR made the best hires by far. CBG has proven he can recruit and win in the big 10.. or 12... or whatever it is now. The big TX and supporting cast would be more properly suited IMO.

Gillespie will have tech a top 25 team sooner rather than later. Him going to Lexington was akin to a small business owner taking over Microsoft. He's about the worst fit possible for a state that needs their state university basketball coach to be the 2nd most recognizable face and spokesperson to Colonel Sanders.

Pearl is constantly called a clown but the man who is an operating Alcoholic and constantly risks everyone's life around him on a daily basis is called an incredible hire. Nothing ceases to amaze me on this site.

And why did TT fire Leach? And then they hire a drunk because that's whats best for the kids. Speaking of whiny interest groups- the local members of the American Trial Lawyers Assoc. endorses having Billy Clyde in Lubbock. Other whiny interest groups like MADD trying to prevent people from getting killed or seriously injured by drunk drivers dislike it.

Good. That'll give the housewives and no lifers that make up that organizations something else to ***** about at their rallies.

They decided they didn't want to pay Fiesta Bowl money for an Alamo Bowl coach. Of course, Leach has had little trouble finding another job. Oh, scratch that.
Suing his previous employer was certainly a brilliant way to go about that.

They're doing no such thing. If they were, they'd focus their efforts on getting all impaired vehicular homicide elevated to a form of second degree murder. That might actually act as a deterrent to impaired driving. Instead, they go around telling their tales of woe and looking for their Oprah moment. Just another bunch of grandstanders looking for a camera or someone with a media credential.

That sounds pretty spineless, even for sports writers.

Go back and read their assessments of Bob Huggins' hiring at Kansas State. It's just what they do. It covers the bases for them. If the coach succeeds, they write the obligatory redemption story. If he runs into trouble off the court, they write the "Why the hell did they hire him?" column. It makes their job easier.

The anonymnity of the internet has increased the number of spineless people and spineless comments by the millions. There are a few on here that are absolute horrible people, if you judge by the bs they put on this site.

Maybe I can help set up a meeting with a couple of parents who lost their kids. See if you show the same lack of class . What a douche, man. I would love to see you get your azz kicked by a 50 yr old woman and I'm betting it wouldn't take long. You cross the line too much.

I already know plenty. Good friends with a few. I have no problem telling them they shouldn't waste their time hanging out with a bunch of grandstanders and camera hogs. A single well written letter to a legislator is more effective than all the marches and rallies one could ever attend.
