ESPN rips Petrino....

In my limited experience, loyalty is only an overriding concern when people are talking about someone else. When it comes to themselves, players, gms and coaches alike all believe that they are worth more than paid and each has the right to seek more while the gettin's good. I don't know why this is so hard and why people act like Petrino OWES anyone anything. I guarantee you Petrino wouldn't have acted like a puppy dog about Blank had Blank fired him. It's pathetic to watch an owner act like he was blindsided this way.

Even in the crescendo of whining and moaning, does anyone believe Petrino is going to change his mind? What good to the Falcons get from bashing the guy? He hasn't said a word about their pathetic personnel situation, while that herd of pathetic personnel are acting as if he created the problem.

If these whiners spent as much time actually preparing for a game as they do giving interviews to gripe about Petrino perhaps they might win. Take Petrino out of the equation and you still have a broken team. Even if Vick was there the team's record was dropping. With Vick gone and serious issues at key positions, there were still negatives all within the team. Now with Petrino gone, it opesn the door for someone else to fix many of them. But as I said on another topic, who wants to come in and try to fix this trainwreck especially with the whiners all given free access to the media to gripe about everything and in such a classless manner.

Petrino is a get out of jail free card after all of the pathetic play. He's an easy excuse for the atrocious product that is taking the field.
