It’s looking like the forecast will be anywhere between 40 and 32 degrees depending the time of the game. Nothing out of the ordinary for Knoxville this time of the year.
Hopefully, I want our speed to be on full display.

It blows my mind people think this means ESPN hates us lol it's a night game on the road against a higher seeded team where the crowd will be insane crazy. Who in the world would bet for Tennessee to be the favorite?

This was always going to happen. If the game were in Knoxville it would be reversed because home field means everything
Exactly! It's not like we've been a really good road team. The last few years our losses and bad losses have been on the Rd. I mean damn, we lost at Arkansas. Ohio St should absolutely be favored and line shows how we have played on the road. Like you said, it's not ESPN hating us. We have way too sensitive of a fanbase. Not everyone hates us nor are they all against us. It's like the paranoid dude that thinks every time someone laughs it's directed at him. Some of our fans need to grow a pair.

Not always but in this instance it does because Tennessee has really struggled under Heupel in road environment. Under Fulmer, we were sometimes better on the road than at home lol. We won @ Georgia in 2004 and 2006, won @ Miami in 2003, etc. I remember being in college and commenting on how the Vols played better on the road in that era.

This isn’t a bad thing. This is a test to see if we have our guy or is Huepel(Mark Richt) good enough in most instances but will lose a game for no reason whatsoever. The one good thing we have on our side is the disrespect card ie they don’t respect us or like us. Generate fox hole vibes - us against the world. Heupel gets it done in this playoff Fulmer gets knocked down a notch and replaced.

I will throw this out there- that has only been true against SEC opponents.

Ohio State isn't use to our system, I will give you that. However, we are in the same boat. It will come down to talent and coaching. This scares me a little as Ohio State does have more talent.

Ohio State's offense isn't that great and our best chance is to hold them to a low scoring game. Our defensive line needs to step up as they have regressed some in the second half of the season. We can't afford a performance like we had in Athens.

Since the UT and Oregon consider each other as sister schools, maybe we should come play in Oregon colors just to pizz OSU off.

When we beat OSU, the narrative will be how OSU lost instead of how UT won. It’ll be almost an outrage that they lost

Please don’t let Herbie and Fowler call this game! I can tolerate Herbie sometimes but this game he’s a homer.Fowler is a tool all the time.
They are calling the game. They will call the next game at the Rose Bowl too. Noone likes Fowler, and Herbie's Thursday night NFL games i think is starting to wear on him.

The odds on the game give implied odds of UT winning at around 35%, and most fans pick favorites, so not surprising that only 2 out of 11 or whatever it was picked OhSt…but really, who cares what they think? It’s not like their picking against us shows some kind of malice towards ut, just opinions

Hilarious that people get bothered by what media head picks their team to win or not.

It affects nothing and means nothing.

They should not come from the SEC or BIG10.
More than likely they will come from the hosting school conference.

update: The College Football Playoff games will be assigned to the four Power conferences, according to sources with knowledge of the process. Eight crews will be assigned to the First Round playoffs and the Quarterfinals, according to a preseason memo from National coordinator of officiating Steve Shaw:

Who knows probably not a B10 or SEC crew. ACC or B12?

Just confirmed we are getting a ACC Crew of Officials

the site I saw was the Weather Network. It could be centigrade but didn’t say. Hoping you are correct because the Buckeye faithful are counting on weather being a factor. You know, all those palm trees Tennessee is used to….
Still will be interesting to see which players are wearing gloves and how thick they are.
