ESPN the Magazine SEC Bball rankings

I cannot link to it because it is not allowed, but pretty freaking hilarious to read on a gamblers write up of TN something even more idiotic than this list:
G Scotty Hopson (12.2 ppg last season) and F John Fields (10.2 ppg 8.7 rpg last season) will be the main veterans returning and Fields will be a key guy, as he was the team’s leading rebounder last season.

This shows how much research they really put in their pre-season analysis of each team.

Dont sleep on Georgia this year. They are going to be good. Kentucky has a lot of questions without Kanter. Florida has a good coach and has his best recruiting class in several years. Tennessee has a lot of distractions as well as no real PG. Harris will be a stud but hes a frosh. I think the smartest thing you could do with ranking the East right now is put everyone but SC in a hat and draw out five names. Too many questions and not enough stability.

Huge difference in saying UGA will be good and actually picking them to win the division.

This is true but it shouldnt bee that big of a surprise if they do come out on top. Im not picking them but given the state of the SEC East, they have a legitimate shot at pulling it off.

The state of the East? There are three teams substantially better than they are.

Which three? Florida Tennessee and Kentucky? Correct me if those are not the three but Ill comment.

Kentucky has no post presence without Kanter and although I think he'll eventually be ruled eligible, I have to assume at this point that he is not playing. Without him they are good but not great. Tennessee is good but with the BP distraction and no true PG, there are a lot of questions to be answered. Florida has struggled recently and has a lot of smaller players with talent but a lot of questions once again.

Once again, Im not saying Georgia has the most talent in the East but them winning it is a legitimate chance. Id be curious to know the Vegas odds for each team right now.

UGA is now 12-2 with a win over #11 UK. Still think they have no shot to win the SEC East?

Of course they have a shot. South Carolina won the East in football and Auburn won the National Title. Hell has already frozen over so I guess it doesn't matter.
