So Ohio State should be higher than LSU.
If you say so.
btw... how would you explain the following comments from the article if a team's schedule is not a consideration?
- Georgia doesn't play SEC West favorites Alabama, Arkansas and LSU during the regular season and plays four of its first five games at home.
- Notre Dame's schedule in 2012 is daunting, with nine games against teams that played in bowl games, including road contests at Michigan State, Oklahoma and USC.
I'm not really hoping anything. I was just simply trying to explain why the #1 ranked team in the country (pre-season) may not necessarily mean they are also viewed as the best team in the country.
With 9 returning on offense and defense. One being a Heisman finalist one has to have them in the top 3 minimum. There is no reason for the Trojans not to win the pac-12. I wouldnt be the least bit surprised if Barkley won the Heisman and went to the BCS National Championship.
Considering my track record though, I wont curse them.
I agree with all of this. In fact, assuming they win the PAC 12 it could be argued they also have an easier path to the BCS title game which was one of my previous points. It still doesn't mean they're viewed as the "best" team, but more so that they are viewed most likely to be a top team and perhaps finish in a top position.
