Week 4 "game to watch" Boise St vs Fresno St.....seriously?

I know east of the rockies BSU and Fresno State don't get much respect, BUT............. In many ways Fresno State as a road game just may be one of the toughest places I can think of to play. This is a "Throw Back" place from everything I've read and heard (The Ducks played home and home with these guys a couple times). They put 42,000 drunk thugs in a stadium that seats 41,000, the "visitors" locker room is about a quarter mile from the stadium, the walk is up hill on a slippery surface (lots of fun in football shoes) and the walk up the hill is lined with some pretty drunk beer drinkers of the most unsophisticated kind. You can get hurt just getting into the stadium. I heard hot water in the visitors locker room was "iffy".

I believe they went 9-4 last year (first year coach and first year with the up tempo spread offense). Defense greatly improved last year.

This is an opponent that with Pat Hill as head coach was one that you wanted to make sure you had a bye the following week. Because guys were going to be injured. They always played with a chip on their shoulder, never back down from anyone. If you look at the past schedules you will see they were willing to play tough opponents.

I'm not saying they'll beat BSU, but they will likely give them a battle.

You ever fought off a group of red hat ladies filled with Crown? Things can get out of hand quick on Cumberland if we lose...

Yea, Don't mess with the old ladies..........

They can be pretty funny and tough. I visiting my wifes grandmother back in the 80s, she was 92 year old and living in a nursing home. She was telling stories about how she took all of her friends around the world on a steam ship back in about 1925 (true story, yea she had money, lived on the upper east side of Manhattan).

She told me the following drinking toast, "One is my limit, two at the most, three I'm under the table, four I'm under the host". Knowing this woman she had four a few times when she was young. She was a wealthy widow at a very early age. Blew a million on that trip around the world.
