If I remember right, doesn't Pomeroy's system get pretty accurate once the season gets going but doesn't do a great job of projecting things preseason?

Pomeroy will be the first to tell you the system gets more accurate as the season progresses. But it's clear based on his rundown that his preseason forecasts (or any statistical forecast) is just as competitive as the humans.
