Rex I appreciate the info. Especially when we are battling other universities for the same recruits. I think that dynamic is probably what makes you a little more accurate than these other guys with your predictions. Just let them be back yard quarterbacks and expert film evaluators. When everyone is hating, you know your doing something right.:eek:k:

i think you have to take it for what it is. its good to know what our rivals are up to. its not idol worship or anything. by seeing who our rivals have picked up, we have an idea where we stand in recruiting talent (although ultimatley stars dont mean anything, but they are an early indicator). we see what UF has, and we see what we are up against. likewise, in a way, we can see what we may be able to steal from them. im sure everyone remembers Nuke??? im not thinking of it as a reminder that UF is better than us, but rather as a runner ahead of us that we have to catch up to. for those like 182, i can sympathise. maybe we should have specific threads for each of our main rivals--id say UF, Bama, UGA, and heck, even LSU and USCjr. merge all previous threads about their recruiting into one, and then you can chose to look at it if you want, check up on their activity, and ultimatley, clear the boards of "continous reminders" of how far behind UF we are...

I think this whole debate comes down to not enough real things to discuss. We need some football and soon or we might start eating each other.

First a correction needs to be made. If you were counting the number by going down the list, that list is bugged and only goes through the letter s in the list. UF has 9 and UT has 3.

Now these are players that have the potential to be the ESPN 150, but only the fall season will determine this. The other problem I have is with the number of players that haven't been ranked yet because no one has seen them or because Florida is considered a hot bed for talent alot of times players get rankings they don't deserve.

It really doesn't matter until they perform in college how good they might be. The fact is UT and other schools will get top recruit classes and if the new coaching staff can perform on the field in the fall players might sign with UT that many weren't expecting and players will always go to winning programs.
