You really can't tell how well he's doing at practice by seeing a couple plays from ESPN All Access

I'm not sure if you realize that what you just said translates to "You really can't tell how well he's doing at practice by watching plays of him at practice".

Interesting. Tell me, Coach, how do you usually evaluate players?

Dobbs and Ferguson are the most dangerous kind of mobile QBs.

If you watch Dobbs high school tape, he scrambles to throw all the time and it was out of necessity.

Ferguson scrambles well too, but a lot of his stuff looked more by design. Not that he can't improvise.

I think we will do very well with these guys, especially with our receivers maturing so much by next season.

One thing I loved about this practice footage: I love our coaches!

Coach Jake and Coach Z are very active and in the face of their group. I really love the effort. They are both whippet-thin for a reason. I hope they don't get stolen away from us anytime soon.

The one coach I worried about coming into the year was Willie, especially because of the youth of that group. But we lead the nation in INTs. Go figure.

I really hope this group gets to a bowl game, because the extra practices are going to really help us develop.

He said you can't tell how well he is doing by watching a few plays on all access. If you are going to be a douche, at least understand what you are trying to reply too.

I understood exactly what I was replying to. I just don't understand what other method of evaluation he would rather have me use to get a look at a freshman quarterback who has never played a snap of college football. Sorry, I'm not a coach. Some of us, you know, regular fans, just have to rely on what we get from the media and athletic department. If anyone here has insider video from practice, feel free to post it.

I don't think it's way out of line to say that, in my opinion, Josh Dobbs, one of our freshman quarterbacks, performed well in what little footage I could see of him featured on ESPN's Tennessee All-Access Special.

Better?

Maybe it's just what they decided to film, but I'm seeing a LOT of Dobbs. And he's looking pretty damn good, especially when rolling out and throwing on the run. If what's been said about Ferg looking even better than Dobbs at practice is true, then I'm feeling a lot better about the future offensively.

Coach Jones is trolling all you guys who want the freshman to play or maybe espn is. GBO!

I think recruits will be blown away by that video. The facilities, coaching, obvious enthusiasm by the players etc. Love that when they break at the end of practice they all say " family".
Seems like if we had hired butch instead of Doofus a few years ago the east would be ours to lose this year. I really think Butch will bring us back to the top. IMO TIFWIW HUBANegavols
