Everybody gets jobbed at Bama, but wondering some your more memorable lows you’ve seen?

Considering how badly the zebras hosed us on Saturday, I can only imagine the calls against us and the non calls that would help us in Tuscaloosa

What pissed me off more was how on the last drive it was obvious Kiffin was only playing for a field goal. He wasn't even trying for a TD. Given the fact Lincoln had one blocked already, I had a bad feeling about the chances of that field goal.
The fact that we even had a FG attempt to beat Alabama with that roster was a miracle. Letting Jonathan Crompton try to make one more throw would have been grounds for deportation.

My one that still bothers the living &$#@ out of me is our field goal attempt by Kiffin’s team which was blocked. A guy then known as Mountain Cody made the block and immediately took his helmet off on the field. Of course the zebras had concrete on their flags for Bama, no call was the result and we lost.

What should have occurred was a penalty should have been called, Mountain Cody would have had to sit out a play. We would had had the ball moved closer and perhaps made the field goal and won 5he game.

Mind you everybody gets jobbed by the officials when playing Bama, but I’ve seen some doozies through the years. Whatever are some ba calls/no calls have you seen during third Saturday in October games?
I remember our kicker sucked. All of his kicks, even extra points, were low and sideways. Was bound to happen

That was a painful game but even if they had flagged him for unsportsmanlike conduct it would be a dead ball penalty and only would've affected Bama on their ensuing offensive possession had the game had more time left. I was more upset that Kiffin didn't work to get closer knowing that Lincoln had an injured leg.

Edit: I see some saying that Cody took it off while the play was still live, but even so it was AFTER the field goal was blocked. I'm not sure of the rules in that situation but wouldn't it be like a block in the back after an INT? It occurred after the change of possession so I don't think that it would've given us a first down and re-kick.
Technically he had the helmet off before the whistle blew the play dead.

Prior to the replay era, in Knoxville, I saw Bama's QB get tackled and tried to throw on the way down. His hip was on the ground, touching the sideline, and he threw it to a WR. It was ruled complete.

Remember a few years ago when we were driving on Alabama and lined up in Wildcat and the refs inexplicably stopped the game?
They did the same against Mississippi that year. I believe it was on Mississippi's first drive in 2021.

.Can't remember where the game was played, but seems like Jay Barker completed a pass from his knees

Kiffen was afraid Tennessee would get another holding call. Tennessee had several that day

I understand but wasn’t it after the change of possession? It’s a moot point now, but I think the rule would be like a penalty after a fumble recovery or interception. For example if Bama had recovered a fumble but then held after the fact the yards would be tacked on to their offensive possession but the fumble would still stand. (I think).

That 2021 ole miss game could be a thread in itself. Still pissed about the call back on the scoop and score.

Who remembers the 4th string Punt returner in Birmingham in the early 70s? Made that trip and the slowest punt returner in the history of the sport ran thru about 10 missed tackles.

I can't recall but our WR's better carry shanks with them this Saturday. Every DB in the conference now knows that you can mug our WR's and pretty much get away with it.
Yep and will probably be mugged Saturday. Or flags thrown to stop drives get ready for that goon stuff. Playing more than 11 at a time at turd.

Lincoln with a hurt leg missed three fg's that day - last one of course was blocked and like you said cody should have been flagged but not getting it at turd.

Except . . . it wasn't. If you watch the replay, Alabama falls on the ball and they immediately switch to a shot of Cody with no helmet. There's no way he didn't take it off before the recovery.

Given our luck finding stupid ways to lose, I fully would've expected us to get flagged for something like that lol.
yep ball was still rolling around.

I remember cam sutton or justin martin getting a controversial pass interference vs turd when they had a third and six in our territory in 2015 game with less than five minutes left that extended a turd drive to help them beat us that year. Game of course was at turd. Another bummer won an nc.
