Well tomorrow is gameday, what is everyones last min thought. What do you think is going to take the VOLS to victory. Anyone going to the game should take LOTS of pics and post em. "ITS GREAT TO BE A TENNESSEE VOLUNTEER"

i for one am going to try and remain calm for once...

i think we have a very good shot...biggest things is not making mistakes and taking care of the ball.

The offense is proven thus far...I think the D will be the key; if there's early intensity on defense...especially a big play, get to Leaky a time or two...it could be a splendid nite!

I think it is going to be a very loud and difficult environment for the Gators. Florida needs to stay composed and stick to their game plan, even if they find themselves down a score or two early.

Keys to a Florida win:
1) Minimize penalties, particularly false starts and illegal procedure-type penalties;
2) No turnovers.
3) Offensive line must give Leak time to throw. Might be the most citical facotr in the game.
4) Percy Harvin
5) Dallas Baker

Me too!!! :BANGHEAD2:
I am also very nervous, but I think UT pulls it out. I feel like UF may be coming in a little over confident, and UT is really fired up for this one. Ainge will be good (not great), the WR's will once again make some huge plays and the defense is going to look more like the Sept. 2 defense as opposed to last weeks defense. UF will burn us with a couple of misdirection plays but it won't be enough. IMO UT's downfall in the UF game last year was the inability to connect on the big play and unfortunatley for the gators this offense has figured out how to make such things happen.

Still like the Vols' chances to pull it out in a close, back-and-forth type game.

I said it before and I'll say it again.

IF Florida can keep it under double digits in thier loss tomorrow night, I will have a new respect for them.

They really have no idea what they are about to walk into.

Lawgator has been real confident, but looking at his Keys, you can see how Florida will struggle.

1. The crowd WILL be a factor in the false starts and illegal procedure penalties.
2. Turnovers almost always happen, they are as big a factor for Tennessee as they are Florida so that is a push.
3. Florida's offensive line isn't exactly the strength of their team. They have lost players from there for the season, and not a unit I would want to put faith in if I were Meyer.
4. Percy Harvin is a freshman that has done well against two very weak opponents. He has never expierenced something like Neyland Stadium and never faced the level of opponents that he will tomorrow night.
5. Baker is good, but can he do it alone? We will see. He is going to need a freshman and a less than steller line/running game to step up bigtime just to be a factor.

I noticed your mention of Harvin in a few previous posts, along with some mention of "most" of Meachems yards coming on quick 6 yd throws and a lot of running. (BTW Ainge has connected on several DEEP passes this year as well) In watching some "highlight" film of Harvin it seems that most of his yardage has come in similiar fashion. Does it concern you that he may not be as much of a factor against a faster defense? Harvin has loads of talent but I have not seen anything that scares me yet. Next year, maybe but not yet.

before cal, i posted on the importance of ainge/receivers coming out hot and heavy early against the undermanned cal secondary...i see similarity with this game as it relates to ut off vs fl def...their strength appears to be def line rather than lb's and secondary (not implying their not talented, just not the team strength)..ainge needs to come out firing and get them on their heels...defensively, we must limit leak to his 2nd and 3rd receivers...if we can get up on these guys early and frustrate them offensively, they will melt, urban will flip flop with tebow in the 2nd half and vols will be victorious by 10+..cal was not prepared to play against ut...florida will be and we win or lose based on the play of our defense. Kudos to Harrell and hope he has strong performance! glad to hear inky will be attending. go vols.

1. The team that makes the fewest mistakes will win.

2. Play for and make the breaks and when one comes your way - SCORE.

3. If at first the game - or the breaks - go against you, don't let up... put on more steam.

4. Protect our kickers, our QB, our lead and our ball game.

5. Ball, oskie, cover, block, cut and slice, pursue and gang tackle... for this is the WINNING EDGE.

6. Press the kicking game. Here is where the breaks are made.

7. Carry the fight to our opponent and keep it there for 60 minutes.

God forbid we lose (I hate to even consider that possibility), I will be flying off the handle. I normally get very intense during the games, but even more so vs rivals like FLA. Anyways, GO VOLS!!! I have confidence that our boys will get us a win.

lg, your #3 is very much the key to this game. If they don't stop us we will be all over leak and force throws, turnovers and push UF back and get very good field position. If your line can hold we will have a close game. But if your O line plays like it did in your first 2 games then you will be in for a long night.

SO here's to a long night for LG. :salute:

I know last year has little to do with the present game. However, had we been able to execute on offense it would have been an easy victory for the Vols. So.... this year we are definitely very much improved on offense and haven't lost much, if anything, on defense from last year. Florida may be improved a bit too but nothing like we are. Tennessee with surprising ease over Florida.

Our special teams need to be just that, "special".... we have not been terrible this yr as we were last yr but nothing special so far. We need to keep Florida starting from the 20 yrd line or less all game long, our return team needs to block their assignments and avoid penalties and receivers need to hang on to the ball.

I think the last college game for Harrel is HUGE. I feel like that swung the whole deal....even if he can only go a few plays the emotional impact is dramatic and I don't think we've chatted enough about it !! GO VOLS....

We have to hit them hard early and prevent the big play. Can we put enough pressure on Leak without him dumping a short one behind the LB's for big yardage? Wrap up and tackle. Don't let go. Keep the mental mistakes to a minimum and hold onto the ball.

Regardless of the winner, I feel blessed to have something in my life as exciting as Tennessee Football.

GO VOLS! BEAT FLORIDA!

unbiased opinion. (is there anyway that both of you could lose? JK).

I like UT in this game by 7 UT d=line vs UF o-line is the matchup to watch. If leak doesnt have time to throw to his receivers long day and this will be a moot point if UF can't run. UT's big fast receivers agains UF's dbs are the second matchup...advantage the big fast guys in orange. UT 31 UF 24

Good luck guys. Hope it is a good safe game for both teams.

All good points, esp. FL's O-line vs. our front 7, (I think that's the biggest key to the game).

The intensity level in Knoxville is sky-high, which I think will work in our favor, but one dreadful thought occurred to me this afternoon -- LSU's emotion peaked in the first half in that game last year. As a crowd, we must be ready to bring it for the WHOLE game!!!! Just like Cal, but also even if things aren't going our way!!! NEVER GIVE UP!!!!

I truly think we have the horsepower to do it. After reading some of Foster Mom's posts, I think the VOLS also have the spirit.

What a time for some good young men to seize the moment. I like being an under-dog and proving the liberal-based media WRONG.
