If he holds a presser, he's running his mouth. There’s never one single thing accomplished from a press conference that will help a football team get better. It’s nothing more than a get together for the media to ask stupid questions so they can turn in a expense report. Spending time at recruits house during this seasonal down time would be a lot more productive than sittin behind a mic talking about it. Today’s society is so programmed for those next golden words from the coach that they tend to loose sight at what really matters.....WORK

If he was in some recruits home instead of doing the press conference then he would be in violation of the NCAA Recruiting Laws and violating the dead period.

Five new football recruiting rules were announced Wednesday by the NCAA, including a new dead period for winter recruiting.

The rules will be made effective immediately and mean that no in-person recruiting can take place from Dec. 16 through Jan. 15 -- a month-long period that occurs during bowl season.

You are forgetting that it is "a part of the job" doing press conferences. Butch Jones & staff have been working nonstop on the recruiting trail. The results speak for themselves so chill your happy ass down and take your press conference like a man or just don't comment on it.

Differences on this board are common. Telling me not to comment on something when you're doing it....
