I get people being unhappy about the whole deal. Doesnt make them not true fans just like supporting coach Jones doesnt mean i support mediocrity.

I just feel like if hes willing to risk his career on trying to bring UT football back then he deserves my support and he deserves our respect. I just wish this place didnt suck any excitement a person might have for UT football again out of them.

I'm not those guys but, I feel good about Butch! I was disappointed at first but, I am sold completely. The only thing I was disappointed about though was the name. I was thinking, remember when Florida hired Meyer they were trying for the likes of Stoops and Shannahan? Instead they got Urban Meyer. I wonder if this guy could be OUR Meyer type hire.

If a talking baboon came in here and promised to win, said he dreamed of coaching here, and wore a suit with a power T on it 3/4 of Vol nation would love him just because he is the coach of the Vols. It's as predictable as Jimmy Cheek watching Star Wars and eating his boogers on a daily basis.

After the speechs that both Kiffin & Dooley gave, I am leary of just believing the hype.

Remember, Kiffin said he would assemble a great coaching staff, which he did! Remember, Kiffin said he would own the state of Georgia, even to own the UGA football team, which he did!

Remember, Dooley said that he would run a clean program and he did!

All of the other things that those guys said was just empty words to get the fan base excited again!!!

Let's wait for three seasons and see what he can do. I am looking for him to win some recruiting wars.

am looking for him to win some close football games, that under Dooley went to our opponent, except for the 2011 Vandy game, the UAB game and the Troy game.

If he can win the close games and steal some recruits from other programs. I don't mean that he stole a 2* or 3* from Florida or Bama but I mean for him to steal a really coveted player from them, then I will start to believe.

Sounds to me like we got what we were promised based on what you say. Jones told the players he came here to be the best. In the presser he said we won championships before and he was here to win a NC and SEC title. I take him at his word.:rock:
