Excuses?

2 weeks to prepare and you lose to Vandy? Might as well cancel the football program because you have reached new lows Beelzebub would be proud of.

That game was called bad from start to finish. They were too conservative and didn't want to lose the game. Its like we're back in the 80s with Majors running the clock out with a 3 point lead. That aint going to get it done!!

Nope no excuse. We failed on all fronts. We suck and do not deserve to go to a bowl game. I don't see us getting any better for a long time.

Somebody give me a reason to believe in this coach. I know everyone will say recruiting but I believe before signing day. Some of see guys will ponder if this is where they want to,come here and struggle.. He is too stubborn for his own good. Someone please give me reason to believe. I do want to.

No excuses. Terrible offensive gameplan. Plain and simple. Bad penalties - Pig Howard block in the back. Bad call with the fake. There's your ball game.

Please don't run me out the room but the game was over and the boys ups high overturned it.... How in the world could a play be overturned when the ref clearly marked where the ball was which was short yet upstairs says they saw a better spotting of the ball giving V the 1st down and the game... Yes TN didn't play their best but c'mon.... really...

Please feel free to reconcile that comment with the fact that Butch decided to run a fake field goal on 4th and 19 rather than take the 3 points when UT already had a 3 point lead. That was an aggressive play call, and it was unbelievably stupid.

you can say all you want about coaching but one thing to remember is the majority of this team is no good...we all knew it at the beginning of the season and why would that change now. There were some definite coaching mistakes but we have absolutely no talent to coach...there is a reason why no big name wanted this job to begin with

Great coaches get the best out of what they have. I haven't seen that. So I'm done with the excuses. I'm not saying we should win 8-9 games but you should at least see improvement after the SC game. The only think I've seen is regression.

Hate to say it bud, but that was definitely a first down. Refs on the field got it wrong.

The last time we went bowling we got embarrassed by VT in a game we shouldn't have been in. Extra practices or not, I don't want to have to watch this, seniors will be gone and new team next year so who cares if we get a low rung bowl game and get blown out. Tonight was awful.

What really bothers me is that our oline was one of the best in the country last year and it was directly attributed to coaching.

This year they can't get out of their own way. The only thing that is different is their o-line coach. What does that say?

Now, some will say that they were overrated last year, but their play speaks for itself and the stats back up their hype.

That ball spot was atrocious. He clearly had the first down, and the overturn of the call was appropriate. It's pretty pathetic to feel the need to try to cheat Vanderbilt out of a win.

It is comical with all the flamers on here tonight. Did you guys not see how Dobbs held the ball and got sacked, or threw it at the receivers feet, or threw it to the Vandy DB's? The kid played like a true freshman tonight. We almost won, but couldn't get a stop when it mattered. Get over it. More talent is coming on NSD!

GO VOLS!!

Bad day from a coaching and playing standpoint. It happens tho. The key is building off of it and moving on. Never judge a coach off one season, win or lose.

You really have to be kidding. When you gameplan a vastly inferior team into having a chance to beat you at the end... you can definitely "judge a coach".

You didn't watch Palardy very closely tonight, did you?

They've consistently sucked since they were freshmen, and they have also consistently been overrated.
