Expectations for Coach Strong

I thought I was the only one in Louisville haha.

I know a lot of Louisville fans here, they love him.

Knoxville native, moved here because of wife, 14 years ago.

Still make it to Neyland for a game or two each year. Have converted my wife (and two daughters) to pull for UT.

Went to UofL for grad school and law school. Kind of saddened to see CCS leave but if he does, hope it will be to UT.

Think with SEC resources he will make some serious waves at UT.

He needs to win YEAR TWO if he wants to be labled a homerun hire!

I'm one of his biggest fans. That being said he is NOT a HR hire. He is a very very very solid hire. He can prove he is a HOMERUN over the short haul which I have no doubt he will.

Derek Dooley 2.0.. we need a winner. Already had our morality counselor.

Again, resident coaching hire expert, who is your Home Run Hire?

Just FYI, as stated earlier I'm a Louisville cardinals fan and would like strong to stay here and build the program.

If he goes to UT I think he will be successful.

Who is your guaranteed to be successful hire?

My expectations are based off of the decisions made by our 3 offensive studs. If they all go pro, I will give the generic 2-3 years before I expect too much (although the cupboard isn't quite bare offensively). If Bray, CP and Hunter all come back (or 2/3 of the crew) then we should be winning 8 games now. Dooley vastly improved our talent level. He just sucked on game day. We had UGA and USC beat. I believe if we win those 2, or even just 1 of em, the team psyche is better and we roll Mizzo and Vandy. That is 3-4 more wins giving us 8 or 9. No reason why a more reliable D and better game time decision making can't get us there.

Gruden is a fantasy, very unlikely but of course is the home run guy we need. I wouldn't mind a Chip Kelly either, heck even Fedora is worlds above the quality of hiring Strong. You want him to stay, I want him to say. It works out just fine then.

My expectations are that we will continue to tread water in Patheticville for the foreseeable future under Good Time Charlie.

Strong will have us winning 5-7 game a year and we might go to a couple of crappy bowl games. We also will continue to get the sh-t kicked out of us by AL, FL, UGA and other ranked teams.
