Expectations for the 2025 Season and ESPN direspect.

Yes thats great and I think he will too, but in this era, one good WR won’t cut snd it’s disappointing because Huep has had enough recruiting classes to fix that it seems like
Just because we fans don't know what all we have, doesn't we don't have anything.

Roster turnover, and fresh faces showing what they can do has always been a major feature of college football, even before the era of NIL and portal transfers.

I feel like I post this every year, but, we will know more after Spring practice, then August camp, and more still after our first 2 games, Syracuse and ETSU.

You act like others who maybe go along with it, the aspect of the OL. Are you stupid or did you not pay attention? The one group who's held back the team has been the OL. People are saying WTF...noooo, can't be...the rushing yards...OMG, surely not. Yes...the OL...can't gain much against OGa....not well again ALA.....mediocre against Fla... nothing against OSU. Bottom line?? These POS have to have their GOOD game against Fla, OGa, ALA, OSU....and NOT in that order. It's the trenches..they suck. ****ing FIX IT.

I agree with you, but the original comment was that we had zero threats. I was just responding to that.

Somewhat agree. Offensive line has two phases (run block and pass block). You can even see that in the video game where it rates players on both abilities. Tennessee's offensive line, last year, was great at run block but horrid at pass blocking.

That being said, Tennessee's offensive play calling was another problem. The play calling should have been designed to address our weakness by calling more short slant/quick pass plays that could happen in 3 seconds or less.

Georgia did that against Tennessee in Athens. I was there and saw it. They knew their Offensive Line would not hold up well and saw a weakness in our defense with quick passes. If you did the count, every one of their passes was within 3 seconds or less of hiking the ball.

This is where play calling more akin to 2022 or even 2021 (2021 might actually be the better model) would have helped.

This upcoming season is the make or break one for Nico and maybe will answer the question is he elite or just good. OL and receiver injuries played a big part in last season's not so good showing and forcing Hype to go heavy on the run.

We just have to hope the 2 problem positions will be much better this season and then we will see if the real Nico shows up or the pretender.

When your Orange has been tempered by as many years as mine has, expectations for the coming season simplify. Undefeated until they ain’t. GBO.

Maybe being ranked as #19 pre-season is disrespectful, but I enjoy being underestimated but overperforming rather the other way around. Does anyone remember the last time when Tennessee was ranked pre-season top 5? I am thinking 2005.
