About to buy my wife a new ride. Our family has out grown our Traverse. What is everyone's thoughts on either?

P.S. I get a discount through my job for both Ford and GM. Ford I get the X plan which is about $4k off MSRP plus Ford has $5700 in rebates right now. Not sure what discount we get through GM yet.

I had an Explorer, and it was a piece of ****, I also have a GMC Denali, and it's been great

I drive a ford fusion for work and it's built a lot better than my wife's Traverse. It feels cheaply made and you feel every bump in the road.

Expedition may be okay. My Expldoer couldn't hold a transmission before the engine blew. 06' btw.

Personally I like the look of the Tahoe better, inside and out. Only thing I know about either.

I do like the look better of the Tahoe but my experience with our Traverse hasn't been good so that is a strike against Chevy. We've had to have work done multiple times and it's a 2012.

yep, new Transmission at 120K in the explorer

So OP, buy the Ford at your on risk

So because you had one Ford with an issue they are all bad? I can play that game. All my buddies in high school drove silverados and all of them had to replace the transmissions.

What does the wife want? We just went through this for her. She wanted a G35 & I wanted a FX35. We got the G35. No big deal, it's her car & she loves it. She does let me work on it. They all have issues

How big are you? I own a suburban and often drive an expedition at work. The Tahoe is a few inches wider than the expedition and I think it makes it a bit more comfortable. Over tone years I've owned both lines over the years but always seem to come back to the gm-probably have half a million miles in 3 different suburbans so that would be my recognition.
