Expedition or Tahoe???

Here's the deal with American(excluding Chrysler, which has always been far behind the others) brands, both are pretty much the same on reliability. People will swear by one or the other, but for the most part they are the same. Everyone has a buddy who went 1,000,0000 miles in their Silverado and everyone has the buddy who did the same in the F150. You also have the buddy who got nothing but trouble.

I would honestly go check out the two you are looking at in person, and see which rides and feels the best. Be very critical. Don't like the feel of the dash, think the seats aren't very comfortable? Just wait till you have put 50,000 miles on it, then it will really feel like junk.

Personally I think Ford makes a marginally better product. Don't let this whole borrowing money from the government thing sway you either. GM has paid us back with interest. Can't say the same for all the folks who bought way too much house than they can afford...

My final recommendation is the Honda Pilot, btw.

Pilot is the same size as our current vehicle I believe?

How big are you? I own a suburban and often drive an expedition at work. The Tahoe is a few inches wider than the expedition and I think it makes it a bit more comfortable. Over tone years I've owned both lines over the years but always seem to come back to the gm-probably have half a million miles in 3 different suburbans so that would be my recognition.

I'm 6'5. Family of 5. All girls. 10,3, and 10 months. 2 dogs that travel with us a lot. I have a F150 with over 200,000 miles with no issues and drive a Ford Fusion hybrid for work.

I like the look of the Tahoe but I have never had any issues out of any of my fords. My wife's traverse has been a terrible vehicle so far.

I think the traverse is on a car chassis, rather than the truck chassis, worth verifying. I'm 6'3" and like the slightly wider feel of my suburban, which is the same width as thTahoe. . I would drive them both and see how they feel. I drove an F150 for years and loved it, but have had thissuburban.since08 and have been very hhappy with it. 8

You've had good satisfaction with Ford, stay with em

I am 6'5" too. Finding a vehicle to fit can be difficult!

I find I fit very poorly in a lot of older trucks and modern suvs. Don't be confused by the size of the vehicle.

GM did what? Paid who back? That's ludicrous. The govt got killed on the shares and senior secured creditors got wiped in favor of the sorry ass unions that destroyed the company in the first place.

Practicality. I have a Honda Odyssey that seats 8 and gets 25 miles/gallon. 180,000 miles with no problems. Tons of space and 10+ cup holders within arms reach of the driver.

I had a Tahoe before this. Minivan all day.

Absolutely. I'm 23 and went on a trip to Syracuse where we rented some vans for the week. Being the oldest, I drove the Odessey and it was glorious. No lie I would consider getting one with my next purchase of a vehicle. That thing was BA. Sweet ride

These all day long and twice on Sundays.

We had an odyssey also and never had any issues. 150k miles which also includes pulling a pop up camper then a 3k lb Trialmanor with no issues. Double automatic sliding doors and a back seat that folds flat to haul things makes it very versatile. But the reliability was the key. Cant go wrong with one.

That's worth repeating.
