The article's primary point is "Biden was caught on video checking his watch, but these crazy fact-checkers rushed in to protect him by saying it was after the ceremony! But other people saw him checking his watch other times! Take that, fact-checkers!!"

...but if the video was from after the ceremony and was therefore misleading and missing context, then the fact-checkers were right lol. I swear the articles posted on this site get dumber every day.

And the article's punchline is a complaint that an opinion wasn't fact-checked. Can't make this stuff up.
A look at their search engine suggests Snopes never "fact checked" Sheehan when she appeared with Venezuelan strongman Hugo Chavez in January 2006 and proclaimed, "I know you had Harry Belafonte here a couple of weeks ago, and he called George W. Bush 'the greatest terrorist in the world.' I agree with him."

So, let's sum up: a grieving parent who says Biden looked at his watch is "wrong." But Sheehan gets a free pass to call Bush a megaterrorist. That's not "independent" fact-checking.

When no one bothers to verify information anymore because of the coordinates attacks on information accuracy, then sites such as Town Hall and Palmer Report can post whatever they want without worrying about the truth.

The NYT and CNN have been pulling stuff out of their azz for decades now, and they are considered main stream.

Yeah. They suck, too.

I believe fact checkers get a bad rap because people don't want to hear something they believe is wrong or misunderstood.

I also believe that fact checkers for media outlets should be identified as well as the authors and contributors of stories. Smoke out the bad ones.

No, the fact checkers are overwhelmingly biased leftists. That is why they have little credibility.

This is part of it, but beyond that, the logic in this article should be questionable to anyone above 9 years old. It just makes no sense. But grown adults believe this stuff because it supports the team they cheer for

I prefer to take the word of the father of the dead soldier who said “stop looking at your ****ing watch “.
The timing was clearly disrespectful to him.

My issue HERE isn't with the completely rude and disconnected behavior exhibited by a Commander in Chief who should be eating applesauce in a retirement home somewhere (although you better believe it's an issue to me), it's the idea that all fact checkers are Leftist loonies. That's where I was going with my statement.

But your side believed every hearsay there was about trump? 🤣 I'm with Slice, I believe the family. It's like the media trying to say the people left behind in Afghanistan"wanted to stay", and I bet you buy that. While there are reports of people begging for help.

This ain’t it.
The timing is completely irrelevant to the giant **** that Biden took on the sacrifice of these soldiers. The reaction of all the families to Biden at the ceremony tells me everything that I need to know.

Fact-checkers weren't checking whether "the timing was disrespectful", but rather whether the video making the rounds showed him checking his watch as bodies came out, which it did not.

There's nothing to "believe". The fact checkers were addressing the video being circulated and when it took place.
