I love what Bruce Pearl's done here at Tennessee, but I do get sick of the "well, Coach Pearl is just a good guy and Cal is a scumbag" attitude that permeates through some of the posters here(not calling you out or anything like that, just making a point)

Actually, with the words he used, he was asking if he would put up those numbers, which are just shy of a double double. I say Fiction. He won't put up 8 points and 9 boards on average...could be more, could be less...don't know.

Yep, the head coach had nothing to do with it. Just because the NCAA couldn't nail him on it doesn't mean anything to me. You and I both know that if Cal was the coach at any other school other than UK that you wouldn't be making these weak attempts to defend him.

For the record, I'm not one of these whining about Cal because Pearl got busted and he hasn't. Bruce dug his own grave.

Just like the rest of the mud slingers, you're missing the point. I'm not defending Cal. I'm stating facts, which indicate to this point in time that he is innocent of any wrong doing in the eyes of the NCAA. I'm not interested in what anything means to you, or your opinion. Everyone wants to run their mouths around here (about Cal, Pearl, and others) without any regard for fact, and would rather spew useless garbage all over the place.

Sure you can form opinions, I have many of my own. But when you make a direct statement that is blatantly wrong by all accounts that actually matter, then facts do unfortunately (for many) become an issue.

I think Cal is shady is hell, but that doesn't mean squat in the scheme of things.

I'm not missing any point. I know exactly what you're saying and it's stupid and naive. You want to talk about facts? The fact is that not one but two teams that Cal was the HEAD COACH of had to vacate Final 4 appearances. Just because an association that has proven time and time again to be incompetent couldn't find enough on him to bust him doesn't mean **** to me. Keep telling yourself whatever you need to though. And as far as opinions go, the feeling is mutual.
