Lost in all of this are facts.
What we know:
The loi of the NCAA is substantially complete and is expected to be fully complete in December.
The loi and everything mentioned at the press conference was about the phones and contacting recruits NOTHING MORE.
Pearl mislead the NCAA on a small segment of questions and answers and in a matter of days told Hamilton of his misconduct.
This allowed Hamilton and Pearl to go to the NCAA and set matters straight. Pearl then went to seminar on conduct, and today faced stiff penalties.
There has been nothing from the inquiry or from the press conference that even comes close to suggest anything else has been going on illegally.
Those who want to equate this to Samson and his ban leave out that he got caught multiple times.
This rules out any false rumors of Ramar Smith and supposedly fixing his academic records that hat likes to try to make you believe. It has nothing to do with paying players which I have also seen rumored.
There has also been a rumor of Pearl only telling truth because he knew he was going to get caught. Yet once again pure speculation especially considering that Pearl went to Hamilton in a matter of days and also there has been no indication whatsoever that Pearl was pressured from NCAA on them coming down on him. As a matter of fact Hamilton and Pearl would be absolute morons to lie on their press conference about the admission being on Pearl's own conscience when the NCAA has yet to rule on the matter.
Stick with the facts and quit speculating.
