Fair to say we laid an egg?

That wasn't just an egg. That was a Flintstones pterodactyl egg this evening

Whatever bird passed that one is going to be feeling it in the morning.

I think this year has been a lot of smoke and mirrors....but I mean that as a compliment.

JH has gotten us to this point with a lot of confusion, blown assignments and getting the guys the ball in space/missed tackles.

When you run into a more talented team that can cover, wrap up and play with discipline this is what happens.

If we had 5 years worth of 5 star players then we could have (possibly) just run it down their throats.

It was bad but not Oregon bad. Still a lot of football left to be played. All we can do is take care of bix versus Mizzou, SC and Vandy...

Smart schooled JH day. Took away our deep ball threat. We tried no screens to slow the pass rush down. GA was all over HH. Why not try a 2 TE set for runs and protection?
We did nothing to bring their DBs up to defend the run. 10 or 15 yard slants?

As fans we probably underestimated GA, but I’m pretty sure the players knew they were in trouble playing them, especially in Athens.
GA has only given up 8 touchdowns in 9 games, to say our players were not little doubtful for intimidated would be silly
But, if we play them again I think we will be more ready

I think Georgia did much more to win the game than we did to lose it. They were just the better team in all phases of the game. Bennett had all day to throw and give their their guys time to get open. I don’t recall seeing him on the ground from taking a hit. Hooker had two or three bad balls that could have gone for big plays, but in the second half especially, he had no time for plays to develop and guys to get open. Georgia’s defense just smothered them all night. A loss always sucks, but I’m glad the score wasn’t worse than it was in case things work out and we have a shot at the CFP. I’m proud of all they have accomplished this season, regardless. Hopefully they take out their frustrations on Mizzou next week!

Laid an egg? More like, lost to a more talented team that has been in a lot of those kind of games. The Vols never quit and fought to the end. Made the score more respectable than it should have been but, that's a credit to them.

When a team can control your running game and get a pass rush with 5 in the box and have DBs who can lock up all of your WRs in man to man coverage, it's gonna look like you laid an egg. Better team won today. Move on and finish the year 11-1 and see what happens from there.

Gotta give credit where credit is due. GA was the better team tonight, and they showed in all phases of the game. This is still a magical season for us, and shows that we are a team that will be a strong contender for the foreseeable future. I won’t give up on this team for one loss. An 11-1 season in a year 2 rebuild is very significant progress. Keep the faith vol nation for good things to come! GBO! VFL!
