Then you didn't google what you posted.

Anyway, how many were articles going off a quote from Clyburn (a Dem using scare tactics to sway voters)?

A bunch.

The birth certificate thing, you are probably right, maybe just some rhetorical favor and that's it. But the Black Panthers investigation is a mortal lock.

you say they will investigate the Black Panthers but don't you mean the Justice Dept for dropping a case like that? Pretty big difference and it's kind of their job right?

I found number 9 interesting. I thought the tea party was mostly about fiscal conservatism and more apathetic about the cultural conservatism.

The TP is sensitive to constitutional rights and threats to them. In spite of MSM attempts to mischaracterize the "religious right"... most of us do not want to impose on others. We want our rights respected and our gov't to NOT do things with our money that tramples our values.

FWIW, an Obama appointee to the EEOC Chia Feldblum has openly acknowledged that there is a zero sum game between homosexual "rights" and religious rights... and that religion must lose.

Google this: "house to investigate birth certificate"

See what happens.

So they should not once and for all answer the question about Obama's constitutional eligibility? If he's eligible... why should you or any other Dem care?

As for the other investigations... where were you a when the Dems took over?

As far as that goes... Congress is supposed to overlook the Executive Branch. It is part of their job... a part the recent Dem Congress wholly shirked.

It's not hard to read their minds when they announce that what they want to do is vote down health care reform in the first week and then spend the rest of the year doing investigations into Obama's birth certificate and hounding the DOJ about the black panthers.
So when the DOJ ignores REAL racist activity it should be winked at but the phantoms you seem to see everywhere should be take seriously?

All Obama has to do is open his records up like every other President has (save Clinton's medical records). Obama, not some wild-eyed conspiracy theorist, is the one who has kept this going by acting like he has things to hide.

Dear lord.

Great... well thought out... well supported response.

The Black Panthers operate from a racist point of view and engage in racist activities. Why not be honest about it?

Let's look at it this way. Would anyone REALLY put their political career on the line if there weren't questions that have not been answered about Obama? All he has to do is be open. Not hard at all. If there's nothing to hide then the GOP will get egg on their face like Dems did with the Bush NG stuff.

Racist remarks. TBPP is a fine upstanding organization.

You must be part of the TP.

He HAS answered it, over and over.

Every time he has produced a document or a witness (even Republican ones) the birther loons just say, no, that's not good enoughm we want to see the other document. And then he produces that and they change the standard again.

No matter what he does to prove it, the birthers would automatically decry it as inadequate.

There's no point in even trying with them anymore as their irrational perspective does not allow them to acknowledge the boring truth.

That's no fun.

FWIW, here are the actual things the new Congress will be investigating:

• WikiLeaks' release of classified diplomatic cables
• Recalls at the Food and Drug Administration
• The role of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac in the foreclosure crisis
• The Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission's failure to identify the origins of the meltdown
• Alleged corruption in Afghanistan

ALL of these things are legitimate oversight subjects, NONE were scrutinized by the last Congress, and ALL are meaningful to the public interest.

I have "checked" factcheck many times. Like most liberal organizations that address political news, they do three things that cause them to be less than a "sterling standard". One, they take "proof" presented by Dems at face value while viewing GOP "proof" with much harsher skepticism. Two, what they consider "newsworthy" is filtered through a liberal lens. Three, they tend to handwave issues that are damaging to liberals or liberal causes.

I have NO IDEA about Obama's birth. It DOES matter but at this point there is no way it hasn't been "fixed" if he isn't a natural citizen.

No. Here's "BIG". If there is nothing to hide and nothing there then it won't get looked at. Dems can afford to chase phantoms because the MSM will be fixated on those same phantoms. When nothing is found, they go CYA together and drop the issue.

Even when the GOP goes after a legit issue like Clinton's perjury, they will pay a price. I have EVERY confidence that the political reality will prevent the GOP from pursuing it unless they are absolutely sure it has legs... and that they can win.

.

This could serve as a stock response to virtually everything you say about the Tea Party and Glenn Beck.

True fiscal conservatism is the priority of a minority of the TP. Certainly, for some it is by far the highest priority. But many talk that talk to disguise their real agenda, which is largely social policy, religious fundamentalism, etc.

I'll withhold comment for now, as to not further the perception of ignorance that comes with aligning oneself with religious fundamentalism. I'll be back though, and I'll be prepared when I return.......

It is ignorant to throw a blanket over religious fundamentalism by calling all fundamentalists (especially a genuine Christian fundamentalist) ignorant.

It probably takes more courage to align one's self with a group that has been wrongly demonized through a concerted propaganda effort....
