Faith in Butch

I could see Butch going to Michigan in a season or two easier than I could see him getting canned. CBJ aint going to be fired.

This has crossed my mind as well. Hopefully Michigan will still have their hearts set on Les Miles instead of Butch. I pray Butch stays here for a VERY LONG time.

three plays cost us the game, in my opinion. (1) The interception by Sanchez that was intended for Croom in the end zone. (2) The late int. for a touchdown (3) the sack that caused Worley to fumble the ball.

34 - 7 ( the returned int.) = 27 27 - 7 ( Oklahoma got the ball in great field position because of Worley fumble) = 20 points for Oklahoma.

10 + 7 for Crooms T.D. = 17 Plus the t.d., rather than the int. for t.d. = 17 + 7 + 24. U.T. 24 Oklahoma 20

Prior to the game, some national media outlets had us losing by 30, 40, points and Oklahoma possibly scoring 100 points on us.

Yes, we left points on the field... but this assumes that Oklahoma just stopped playing and scoring while we were scoring all these points. That isn't any more realistic than giving us credit for things that didn't happen.

We were outplayed by a better, more experienced team and we suffered a hard loss on the road. The team showed poise, fight and resiliency, our QB stood tall and showed strong leadership, our young players are growing up and we began to find a semblance of a running game. But the same issues remain and will hurt us in SEC play-- our OL is subpar, our QB is not a dual threat, our receivers drop passes they need to find ways to catch and our offense is predictable and one-dimensional. Lots of positives AND negatives to go around, IMO.

Anyone else worried that our zone read is making the run game unimaginative and stale? Btw, I think with even a half-decent o-line last night we would have been in that game. Defense really played well, Worley just couldn't make plays with 1.5 seconds in the backfield.

Glad we have more time before we play them this year. I think florida can be beaten as well.

Being out-coached has always been our problem against FL, not schedule. We looked better late in the year because our schedule softened considerably.

That definitely was the case with fulmer vs spurrier and Dooley was a complete failure.

Same thing was said after Dooleys first season. Let's see what happens next signing day and throughout the 2015 season.
