Falling Skies

I'm torn on ending it next year. On one hand I'd rather us get an actually ending vs it getting cancelled. On the other hand I've really enjoyed this season, splitting them up was a good direction. IMO Though I'm sure they'll meet up soon. Plus it has gotten back to them being out on the run, which makes it far more enjoyable, especially after their "farm" season last year.

Them getting the news fairly early should help with them wrapping up the show. It's been a decent season so far and I agree that having them traveling now makes for a better show. Somebody put a bullet in Lexi already, and Lordes. Go ahead and put one into that Espheni rapist too.

Well the series comes to an end tonight. They are saying a main character will die and my guess it's going to be Tom. Bet he goes out killing the Queen in DC.

Well, they lived up to their promise. It was Anne, and then she came back. Lol!

As for the series finale, it could have been better. They could have ditched the whole flying alien scene in the beginning and just jumped straight to meeting the new crew and heading to DC. I would have enjoyed some more skidder and espheni killing and less tunnel scenes to build to killing the queen, but it is what it is. The Pope scene at the end was unexpected yet necessary as it did seem as though they offed him rather quickly for the character he was during the series.

I thoroughly enjoyed the series as a whole. It had it's ups and downs as any tv series does but it was an interesting and unique take on yet another alien invasion series.

Good for Noah Wyle though as he already has a show to work on in The Librarians on TNT.

Yeah I enjoyed it as well. The Queen looked really cool and the CGI scenes of DC were very nice. Falling Skies was always a little silly and over the top but sometimes I like that in a movie or TV show. It always kept my attention and I will miss this series. Good ending to a good series.

I haven't watched this since probably the season two finale but did catch the final episode last night and thought it was a good wrap to series.

Maybe I'm being overly critical but this season was a letdown for me. Started to go downhill for me somewhere around the middle of season 3.

The Pope storyline this season was a waste. Nothing against the sacrifice vs win debate, just the aftermath resulting in "rogue Pope." Felt more silly than anything else imo.

Just like most tv series(typically) the show suffered some creative writing issues at times. I think it got weird for me when she got pregnant with the whole alien baby thing. The human/skidder mutant storyline I don't think really added anything to the show. They should have left the human DNA manipulations to just the spikes in the back.
