Fantasy Football

who should i start this week at qb between romo cutler and schaub?

Shaub's facing the Tennessee defense. That's enough for me to sit him.

Romo and the Cowboys offense have had a ton of distractions this week, and they're facing the best overall team in football.

I'd go with Cutler. The Broncos are 4-2 on the road this year....and, if Garcia and Bryant could carve up the Carolina secondary, just imagine what Cutler and Marshall can do.

How about between Romo, Warner and Cassel?

whew...Hman...that's a tough one.

On an ordinary week, they'd all be great options. This week, not so much.

As mentioned earlier, Romo and the Cowboys offense have been through one helluva week with the media. This is basically a playoff game for the Dallas...so, with that in mind, you'd hope that they execute their best offensive effort of the season. That said, they're facing the best team in the NFL, and it's hard to know if they can put the distractions and dissension behind them.....I don't think they can.

With Cassel, it's hard to say. I mean, at least it looks like he'll start this week at Oakland...but, how can you predict a guy's performance in a few short days after his father passes away? I remember Favre playing on a Monday night after his father passed, and he was great...I just think it's too much to expect Cassel to perform under the circumstances. Maybe he will, but it's awfully risky.

I'd start Warner. That's not a glowing recommendation though. The Cardinals just clinched their division for the first time in 15 years - and, my gut says this week was more celebratory than preparatory for the Cardinals. I think the Vikings will upset Arizona, but you should still get 200 yards and a couple of TDs out of Warner on Sunday.

I agree with everything you said so that's why I'm starting Warner. Thanks for the second opinion.

Looks like Cassel would have been the guy to go with. 4 TD's already, midway through the 3rd quarter. Sorry for the poor advice.

so, while cutler didnt do great, and schaub was really unexpected (god only knows about romo), I got enough points that I'm going to my league's finals!!

Im up on the guy im playing by 41 points and he'd have to get it between jason witten and the giants kicker

Jaytrain, did you start Miami? I should have taken my Oakland pick back when I found out Cassel was playing. I guess Oakland did come up with a Special Teams TD though, so it wasn't all bad.

I actually ended up starting Chicago by mistake. I'd decided to start Miami, but got caught up at happy hour on Thursday night, and completely forgot that the Bears were playing...so, by the time I realized I needed to make the switch, the Bears had already kicked off.

I'm in decent shape right now...I'm up by 12, and my opponent has the Philadelphia defense tonight. If the Browns can put some points on the board, and keep the turnovers to a minimum, I should be in the championship next week.

I was seriously considering starting Cassel but I was thinking of the word risky, like you also mentioned, plus they were traveling all the way across country. Turns out it didn't matter. I would've still lost if I had started him. All my other players sucked at once. :p

looks like it's going to be the meat masters and favres waffles in the championhip, while the #1 and #2 seeds meet up in the 7th place game. crazy......

alright, i've got to ask the same question again for my championship: who should I start at QB? Schaub, Cutler, or Romo? Romo's unexpected good performance is kinda why he's still lingering around as a possibility v. Baltimore.

I really feel it's more between Cutler v. Buffalo and Schaub v. Oakland - which for some reaon has a high ranked pass defense and I worry about using 3 starters from one team (Schaub, Slaton, and Johnson)

my team, Wrath, after a dominant 30 point win over the commisioner's team Elephant stomp, will be meeting my friends team: Jags Suck

we met in week 6 where I lost by 12...it was the bye week for my titans D, bironas, and chris johnson

So it's my 11-4 and 9 game win streak, versus his 8-6 team that just play either the jags, lions, or chiefs

I'm far from an expert, I wouldn't go with Romo at Baltimore, good defense, the weather will be frigid. I think Baltimore wins that game. I thought the game was at Baltimore, on well.

I def think the Texans are a team on the rise, my bet is Slaton will be drafted in the top 5 next year at rb in ff.

oh yeah. I drafted chris johnson late and then picked up slaton later after the 1st titans game.....they have both been very nice :)

I drafted Peterson last year, and Slaton this year, and they both turned out to be great picks. I wonder who my rookie RB could be for next year, comments anyone.

After an Excellent final game from VolsGal, I humbly(...) accept the championship of the 2008 Volnation Fantasy football league #1.

I would like to thank Phillip Rivers for FINALLY realizing that he's allowed to throw to Antonio Gates, as well as myself for picking up the Patriots defense on Saturday.

Dude, I didn't even fix my line-up, (realized it when I was working at the grocery store, you got lucky:)) however, I probably would have still lost. Congratulations and if we all would have been playing for money, I think more people would have put forth more effort. It was fun!

Man I hate Steve Smith now, this guy cost me my championship game and $1200 bucks. I was down 10 points going into last nights game and the guy I was playing had no one left and Smith was my last hope. I lost by 2 points, in the most important game since the panthers were in the super bowl Steve Smith couldn't score me 10 lousy stinking points. I hope they lose every game they play and and someone breaks Smiths eye socket like he did his own teammates eariler this year. You stink!!

Thanks in main part to my opponent leaving Deangelo Williams on the bench for the final game, I am the newly crowned champion of my league.

All hail Lord Cotton.

I won my game too thanks in part to both the antics of michael griffin's TD and the play of my opponent's QB, Kurt Warner

League Champ in my first year baby!

had alot of fun this year. 5th place with a 9-7 record isn't too bad, even though i did start off 6-1.

congrats to the waffles on winning it all. hopefully we can get another league going next year.
