Fargo - TV Series

FX's Emmy Award-winning Fargo continues to impress with the announcement that Ewan McGregor has been signed to join the show in not one, but two roles. Said to be the focus of the third season of the show, which is supposed to take place closer to the present than either of the two preceding years did, the actor has been cast as brothers Emit and Ray Stussey.

The only challenger to GoT's superiority among currently running shows, IMO.

I have GoT, Better Call Saul, and this as my top 3 current shows. GoT is #1 and I almost tie BCS and Fargo. #4 would be The Americans.

Those are the only shows on right now that I can say I yet to see either a bad episode or a bad episode is extremely rare.

I actually didn't watch this season of it for whatever reason. I'm avoiding reading details in case I decide to watch it. Was it worth it?

Epic...didn't believe it could come close to the first season...even better.

Really looking forward to it. I keep rewinding and watching the Fargo commercials when I'm watching The Americans.

Really good first espiode. The booty shot was a nice touch.

The editing of these shows are fantastic and the music is great.

That air conditioner scene was beautiful in a really dark, comedic sort of way.

I loved the camera perspective of the AC falling through the air.

I can already see several Emmy/Golden Globe noms again this season. McGregor will probably get one, and David Thewlis is straight up creepy.

Do i need to have watched previous seasons to know what's going on with this season? Ewan Mcgregor is one of my favorite actors and the commercials have me intrigued.

No. Not that I know of. That being said, after watching the season 2 premier, I would have said "no" to this same question as well, but later in the season there was a very cool nod to the cast of season 1 that you would not get unless you had seen it.

So you're safe, but really you should watch the entire series. I think it's my favorite non-premium channel show.

I appreciate the response.

McGregor definitely deserves some sort of accolade. I feel he's really under appreciated as an actor by a lot of people.

The music from S3:E1 was amazing and all over the place. Gawd I love this show.
