FAU vs Florida

While you obsess about PEDs, remember your coach was dumb enough to kick a PAT because he thought Florida might kick two field goals in one quarter.

You have to factor in the UF luck though.

I had that factored in and still think it will be a blow out. I just think Alabama is a nightmare matchup for them. Dominate front 7 vs inept QB equals disaster. If Treon Harris was this bad against FAU then he will be lucky to crack 100 yds vs Alabama. It will be very one-sided.

Yep. And that he called two timeouts on fourth downs that eventually led to conversions and touchdowns.

The country is loaded with 7-5, 8-4 teams. When things go their way they go 9-3, 10-2, 11-1. When they don't go their way they stumble to 5-7, 6-6. There is really no difference in any of those teams in the long run. The legit 11-1, 12-0 teams are the very, very few.

Who cares about it? UF had no business scoring two TD's regardless. That UF luck is pretty cray cray.

The people screaming bloody murder about us struggling against NT will have no shortage of excuses for UF struggling against FAU.

I was one of those people and you're wrong.....no excuse for McElwain not getting his team ready to take care of business. No excuses, that game should have been over at halftime.

This, and it helps that there are very, very few great teams in CFB this year. Two, maybe three.

The thing is, the team was ready. Like, they were trying. They just suck at this point in the season.

I don't believe anyone is obsessing. Just pointing out how Fla was playing half the season with an illegal player. Meanwhile, your offense looks like a train wreck. I know, I know, Fla is 10-1, so suck it. Stick out your chest some more. That might help you when Bama impales you in ATL.

10 wins is something he won't see again while he is at UF.

I agree with this. Reminds me of Larry Coker. Won early with talent left behind by Butch Davis. Then reality of deficiencies came through. McElwain is living off defense Muschamp left behind.

Yes and no. Getting up for a noon kickoff against a 2-8 Sun Belt team is tough, although their defense looked just fine per usual. I think their O-line is what it is: not good at football, like it was in September.

At least we have the USC game to take some of the disappointment in UF not stumbling. I guess having two rivals drop their cup cake games within minutes of each other was too much to ask of the football gods.

It's hard to get up for a bad team this late in the season. Fla, UT and So Car know they should win and it's hard to get up for those teams especially with big games coming up. Meanwhile, those teams are playing their asses off because they aren't expected to do anything. However, So Car has thrown in the towel and Fla looks awful with Harris at QB. There is enough tape on Harris and D-coordinators have him figured out. Saban will have a field day.

Gator, what would you say UF's best game this year is? There best win is Ole Miss at home? I was actually more impressed with the loss against LSU (at least at the time, not sure what's going on in Baton Rouge now). I'm not taking a shot at you guys at all-kudos for getting to Atlanta. Just as a CFB fan, it's amazing how HISTORICALLY bad the Sec East has become.

I'm honestly glad Florida won. The SEC in general is just being punked on by all these Big 12 fans who truly believe their conference is better than ours.

It's hard to fight a case too when South Carolina loses to Citadel and Florida was about to lose to FAU in OT. Lmao.

Luckiest team on the planet maybe. I get the feeling the magic run is getting ready to end. They may lose their last 3 to end the season.. Their defense gives them a chance in every game. Their offense is a liability right now though.

F*** the SEC.

I will agree with McElwain on one thing. Fla is finding ways to win. That is as important as anything when you're trying to rebuild. It takes some time to turn a program around and change that mindset.

It's easier when you get the calls FL does.
