FAU vs Florida

It's not grasping at straws. There has been a night-and-day difference in Florida's offense since Grier was suspended.

The "roided up" part most certainly is; acting like he would have sucked ass without the banned substance is the definition of grasping at straws.

What pisses me off about this whole thing is the NCAA did nothing in terms of vacating wins or banning them from post-season play when they knew, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that the most important player on the team (the QB), was using PEDs. I mean at what point does the NCAA hold the school responsible and not the player? You can't tell me the school shouldn't get punished for being lax on the drug testing because it's obvious they weren't doing their job. They literally have staff members that are dedicated solely to the diet and nutrition of the players and perform drug tests at least bi weekly. Where is the accountability on the part of the school? All Florida did was shuffle Grier to the podium and make him talk about his "mistake" to the media. You ask me they got off incredibly easy.

If it had happened at UT there's no way you'd agree with how hard the NCAA should have come down and you'd argue the coaches can't control every minute of the players' lives.

I'd be livid if our QB was using PEDs. I despise them in sports but I know they are more prevalent than we'd like to think. If it turned out that our QB was on PEDs I would most definitely be okay with vacated wins because that's how it should be handled (on top of banning the player). Cheating should not be tolerated the way it was with Florida.

And as for the point about the coaches not being able to control "every minute of the players lives"....they dont have to....all they have to do is perform drug tests up the NCAA standard which really isn't a hard thing to do.

I remember when I thought Dabo Swinney was going too far by banning his players from social media. Now...after seeing all the idiots tweeting and **** during half time this year...I think we'll see more coaches make that move. It's like these guys dont realize that the university pays people to monitor social media. They do it for players, coaches and potential recruits alike.

Touchdown FAU! 14-7 UF now.

We should definitely beat these guys with them having Treon at QB next year. We'll probably find some new and innovative way to blow it again though.

I was going to tell you not to do this to yourself but then read your last sentence. Good man (assuming you are a man. That was very cis-normative of me and I apologize in advance).

At this point, I've come around to the opinion that the New England Patriots could wear UT unis, and Halls High School could wear UF unis, and "UF" would still win. (And yes I am a man haha.)
