Ross Perot he was always good for some humor in the debates with all his charts and shenanigans. Plus because of him we got to see Admiral Stockdale in the VP debates.

While I'm not a socialist (I'm an independent), I would have to go with Eugene Debs. From all accounts, he had a real compassion for Americans and the common man and woman (and not just mere political motivations). Similarly, while I don't agree with all of his policies, I'd have Teddy Roosevelt coming in second with the Bull Moose. Roosevelt was just a "frickin'" awesome man, barring the racism and stuff. lol.

Another note about Roosevelt, he was once giving a speech when a man in the audience attempted to assassinate him. The bullet hit Roosevelt, but not fatally. Instead of going to the hospital or seeking immediate medical attention, Roosevelt just kept right on giving his speech until he had finished saying what he had to say. I love that story!

Boxing a navy seaman and losing sight in his eye and never complaining about it did it for me.

Also the games he played and forced politicians to play. His line game is good laughs.
