Can't believe I forgot Jaws.

 Shooter
is good too.
This is sort of the scenario I found myself in with Aliens. There's a crapton of "action" but is it really an "action movie"? There's definitely some shiz going on in Jaws but is it an action movie? It's hard to pin down the criteria.

If I were to add to my previous post I'd certainly have included The Matrix and John Wick.

The Bourne Movies, especially the 3rd one. The fight scene in the Moroccan apartment is one of my favorites.

The Rock was a favorite.

Lethal Weapon movies were all great .

Die Hard 1-3

The Peacemaker with George Clooney and Nicole Kidman.

True Lies

Gladiator if that qualifies .

Like others have said, if you include war films my list gets much longer, going into some of my favorite movies of all time .

Gracious. Lot of great films listed above.

T he Empire Strikes Back
The Wild Bunch
Saving Private Ryan
The Road Warrior
Jurassic Park
Tombstone
Predator
Terminator 2
Bonnie & Clyde
Aliens

 Patton
- love it, but not in the same class as ...Ryan or A Bridge Too Far for me. The inaccuracies kind of bug me, although George C. Scott's performance stands above them all.
A Bridge Too Far is a great movie despite Gene Hackman’s attempt at a Polish accent and Ryan O’Neal’s ham fisted acting.

Mad Max saga
Arnold's top movies
Sicario
The Raid II
John Wick movies
Die Hard
First Blood

Of the 80s action flicks First Blood is by far the most realistic. Outside of the jumping off the cliff scene the rest is pretty accurate on what a green beret would and could do against a hillbilly police force and some national guard guys.
