As awful as it was compared to 1 and 2, it has its moments.

Ok, now that's a review of it that I can relate to. I just couldn't believe it was being mentioned, multiple times, in a thread about people's favorite baseball movies.

which is interesting considering how much I don't really like the sport.

The worst baseball movie was The Babe (i think that was the name of it). With John Goodman playing Babe Ruth, that movie was awful....and i usually like John Goodman, but he did a wretched job in that film.

(and I also like For Love of the Game)

Nothing beats Field of Dreams for me though....I have seen it a hundred times and I still get choked up at the end.
