This week will cannot pass quickly enough. Thought it might be fun the relive our favorite memories through the years against UGA.

What are the big hits, spectacular plays, lucky moments that are your favorites?

I'll start with the easiest...the catch.

I was in bumper to bumper traffic outside Atlanta. People were honking and cheering up until Jennings took their sole. Only one person was cheering in traffic afterward.
An acquaintance was texting me jabs. She could only muster "unbelievable" before blocking my number permanently.

Was is the 06 game where they were heavily favored in Athens then we beat their asses silly?
No that was 2004, but it was a close game throughout. Tennessee came back and won big in 2006, but they were favored to win the game, despite UGA being ranked higher.

I was there, and saw it happen. It was more devastating than video replay can illustrate.
Unfortunately, I can say the exact same thing about when Hershel introduced himself to Bill Bates. I was in the top of the student section and it hurt me all the way up there.
Video may be upsetting for Vols. Viewer discretion advised.

Antonio Wardlow I can still hear the TV announcer saying his name after this play.

Another moment was in 2004 we had just got embarrassed by Auburn at home. Ainge kept throwing to the Rosegreen guy getting picked. 4 times I think and even Schaeffer threw 1 too. Well next game we were headed to Athens and David Greene and David Pollack the defending SEC champs ranked in top 3 were supposed to handle us. I told my buddy Victor McClure who was a tight end on our Vols squad. Try not to get embarrassed this time. He said oh we coming back with a win. Im like are you crazy? Auburn just waxed you guys in our stadium and now you're going down to the Hedges. He said oh yeah the coaches have a plan and we are mad. Sure enough after they won he sent me a text before the team came back. That game was awesome. Low scoring but a huge upset in Athens.

I’m surprised no one mentioned 1996, when Peyton Manning failed on a QB sneak on 3rd and 1, then rolled out, and threw a TD to Marcus Nash.

Or, in 1998, when Jamal Lewis got injured and our offense looked awful against Auburn, everyone was picking UGA to beat us because Jamal was out, Al Wilson was questionable (didn’t play at Auburn), and the media was drooling over Champ Bailey and Quincy Carter. Then UT comes to Athens and completely dominates the Bulldogs, 22-3. That was the turning point for that ‘98 team in my opinion. It was after that game when I began to feel this team would truly be special. I thought we got lucky against Florida with all the turnovers, and plus our offense did not look very good after the first 4 games, but Tee Martin had a pretty good game against UGA, Travis Henry and Stephens kept the running game strong, and the defense looked like the best in the country at that time.

I was trying to find video of that. Great play.

2004 was a great win. Defensively dominated David Greene all game. 2006 was the Lamarcus Coker game where he went off and the game was over by half time. 2009 was the Crompton roll-out game, which was a fun one to watch.
