Favorite memories from past UT-UGA games.

I didn't start paying attention to the Vols or became a fan until 2000; but dang, every highlight I've seen, Lewis was just a beast. Just straight up trucking people, no stiff arms or jukes. lol
That was Jamal's breakout game and real introduction to the college football world. If I remember correctly, it was like Fulmer was saving him for that game and Jamal, flat out, delivered. It seemed Donnan was extra pissed for not knowing how good Jamal was. So Donnan cussed at Fulmer at the end of the game with Fulmer's daughter standing there. (Typical Georgia ideal of class)
Jamal was an absolute stud. I think as a true freshman he was 5-11 and around 225lbs.

This week will cannot pass quickly enough. Thought it might be fun the relive our favorite memories through the years against UGA.

What are the big hits, spectacular plays, lucky moments that are your favorites?

I'll start with the easiest...the catch.

I was in bumper to bumper traffic outside Atlanta. People were honking and cheering up until Jennings took their sole. Only one person was cheering in traffic afterward.
An acquaintance was texting me jabs. She could only muster "unbelievable" before blocking my number permanently.

The best memory is that Hail Mary to Jennings and my worst memory is Walker running over Bates.

I attended that game in the GA faculty section. It was all very civil until Arian Foster started pouring it on and grinding their hopes to powder. Then they started shouting comments about my orange pants.

24-14 GA at halftime.

51-33 UT victory.

I personally loved the 2009 beat down. The highly ranked dawgs got exposed… by the resurgent Crompton as he began his redemption tour. It was such a beat down.

2006. I had a second job, my little brother calls me on my lunch break to gloat about how "UGA is beating the hell out of your Vols 24-14 at halftime". I reassured him that I wasn't worried because "we're a second half team".

I get off work, and the first thing I do is check the final score. I then immediatelt call him and ask him what happened 'cause Tennessee won 51-33. I get the response "**** you", he hangs up and doesn't speak to me for three weeks LMFAO.

1980 was a lot of fun when Tennessee was up 15-0.
Unfortunately it turned into a heartbreaker.
But for some reason that game has always stuck with me.
