Favorite MMA fighter of all-time?

GSP.

A lot of BJ Penn answers. I don't get it. He's the biggest douche.

But, my favorite entrance of all time was his hawaiian music that switched to crazy by gnarls barkley.

Best was back in the day when Chuck Liddel was smoking everybody and he came out to Intro by DMX. The crowd would go nuts. Even if Tyson did it first, it was still so cool.

Why do you think Penn is a douche?

I just get that vibe when he talks. He's the most arrogant guy I've watched. That is until he gets beat. Then he shows respect.

I guess I just appreciate someone gracious in defeat and victory.

For the same reason I despise him, I also despise Lesnar.

If he keeps his head on straight and works before the shogun fight hard, he will beat him. Guy is 6'3-6'4, has an 85in. wingspan, and could make quick work of shogun. Probably the most athletic fighter in the mma today, but is still very raw. Should be a great fight either way. I think shogun was a little worried when he got in the ring at 126, and saw how big he really was.

Considering the experience of Shogun, to say he was worries is ridiculous...

Shogun isn't invincible, he got beat by Forrest Griffin. Shogun is probably going to win, but I'd be worried if I were him.

But you're not him and you're not a professional MMA fighter. I would guess that most of them do not worry about someone they are going to fight or they wouldn't be very good.

I never implied he was invincible so not sure what your point is with that or telling me something I already knew in regards to his fight with Forrest.

Thanks for playing.

I think anybody would be worried getting into the octagon with gsp, or silva. I am not saying they are scared, just worried because they know how dangerous both of these fighters are.

If you get into the cage worried you end up like Vitor Belfort.

Also, why would anyone worry about GSP? He rarely KO's anyone...

When I say "worry" I don't mean they are scared to get hurt, I mean they are scared of getting owned. Shogun should be worried because Jones is the best athlete he's ever fought. The guys worth talking about aren't afraid of pain, they are competitors and want to win. Maybe fear of pain is the first thing that went through your head. But that's just you.

Thanks for playing.

Getting owned? What the hell are you talking about? Getting beat up? No pain involved in getting beat up? You're a clown dude...

Stick to the NBA forum with your drivel...

Losing, and possibly losing badly. Nobody wants to get knocked out. It's not because of the pain, it's because you are a competitor and you just made someone's highlight reel. Nobody wants to lose, and they all worry about it. It's really not that complicated.

I can assure you that any fighter worth a damn does not walk into a fight being scared to get knocked out. To assume they do is ludicrous...

No your mindset is to stop this guy by any means necessary. I don't want to get knocked out when I fight but as like you are saying be scared will get you knocked completely out. I've sparred with guys and once I unlock the "fear/scared" door it's over.
