Favorite Professional Team

I grew up in Atlanta and was 16 during this season. I'll always remember how great that team was, the Falcons had been TERRIBLE my whole life and finally made the super bowl! Stupid Robinson getting arrested...

As far as Vikings go, Georgia boy Fran Tarkington was something else to watch. Best scrambler ever!

I've been a Cowboys fan since 1978. I started following the Mavs and the Rangers when I lived in Ft Worth in the late 80s to early 90s. I used to get in to the Rangers games for free with my military ID and got to see several of Nolan Ryan's solid performances during his later years.

When I was growing up I rooted for the LA Rams because my aunt was a cheerleader and I got to go to the games. I also liked the 49ers because of Montana/Rice/Young. That is when my hate for the Cowgirls began.
When I was stationed in SE Texas it bothered me so much that I lived in the same area as the Houston Texans but you couldn't pay someone to say they were a Texans fan. So i decided to root for the red headed step child NFL team in Texas. This made the Dallas Cowgirl hate grow even more.
Then I decided to date a crazy cowboys fan broad who almost ruined my life.
I always root for my favorite Vols in the NFL: Manning and Berry but it doesn't upset me when they lose. I just like watching them play well.
Now I live in Nashville. I like going to the games and it is way more fun when they win. So I kinda like them a bit now.
I enjoy watching the Cowgirls lose more than watching any of my favorite NFL teams win. so my fav pro teams go in this order.
1. Whoever plays the Cowboys
2. 49ers
3. Texans
4. Titans
5. Broncos/chiefs

Minnesota Vikings fan from birth. Oddly enough it's been great at preparing me for the last 4-5 years of UT football.

This turned out to be a pretty interesting thread seems as the cowgirls are dominating(just kidding). I'm shocked that my first thread only had one smart @$$ in the whole thing that has got to be a VN record.

I've pondered the same thing as I've moved around a lot as a kid and adult. First I become a fan of players and therefore their team but as players move or retire my fanhood retires as well. Living in Texas since 1995 I tried to fit in and be a fan of the Texas A&M, Houston Texans and the Texas Rangers to no avail. I'll remain a Spurs fan as long as they continue to be a class act and compete for championships but if not ?????

I have been a Colts fan since 1968. I still can't root for Titans, I guess because they are in same division. A friend of mine told me I should root for Titans because they are now in Tn. My response was that would not make me a true fan but a bandwagon fan.

Dennis Green playing Fulmer ball playing not to lose. Vikings should have lit up the Falcons but instead they played it close to the vest and left it up to a kicker. The same pain I had when Colts came back on Steelers with a chance to pull one out and Vanderjagt kicks one sideways. His last game as a Colt.

Remember the Memphis Showboats, I was so happy when they were franchised because TN finally had a pro team even if it was the USFL. When I was a kid collecting football cards I thought the Buccaneers were the ETSU Bucs until my father explained that they were a new team in the NFL.

I was born in middle TN but moved to the Atlanta area a few years before the Titans came to be. We were always Braves fans so we also pulled for the Falcons while we lived in TN and after. And it stuck I guess. I will always be partial to the Titans and wherever Peyton is but the Falcons will always be my #1
