Condridge Holloway may be the most legendary..I think they even wrote a song about him. Anyone remember the words?

He was a High School wiz down in Huntsville Alabam
And every coach in the country was fighting to nail him down
But when the battle was over His Mama said the trail is clear
"Son, go with a winner, be a Tennessee Volunteer"

So go Holloway, Go Volunteers
The Big Orange takes the feild and everyone cheers
John Ward on the radio , Play by play,
Bobby Hinton on the big PA,
Shoutin' WHOOO WEEEEE! Give 'em six!
There goes Holloway

You can rush Holloway,
You can catch him.
But he won't stop,
He'll go down the middle, around,
or over the top,

(repeat chorus)

This brought a smile..... I used to have this 45 (for you youngsters, this was a record that spun on a table while a needle, instead of a laser to create the sound) when I was a kid.

Condredge was QB when I first moved to Knoxville as a kid. Used to love seeing him running down the field with the tear-away jersey. He must have went through a half dozen per game.
