I use one of those all the time - never had the problems you did.

That said, sometimes it comes out my eye.

Also, some water doesn't come out until you bend over to tie you shoe at work later that day and you have to explain why water is pouring out of you nose...

Took me several attempts before I got it right. I was squeezing the bottle and snorting the water. And yes it came out of my eyes too.

The stuff works great when you do it right. Never use tap water. My nephew found out the hard way.

you mean water without the packets - burns like hell

or

you mean bacteria in the water - much bigger problem

Tap water with the packets. Some chemicals in regular tap water irritate, as opposed to distilled water.
