FDA Kills

You know, if the FDA made pills taste better, I'd be all for it. Does anyone on here really like the taste of pills? I, personally, am quite fond of the orange flavored aspirin. Why can't they add a little flavor to scripts? I got bronchitis last year and the pills tasted like my feet smell. What's the deal with that?

If companies wouldn't sell bad drugs, where are the bad drugs the FDA has let slip through coming from?

Oh, please, stop with your stupidity. The companies fully know what the risks of their drugs are before they go through FDA trials...no worries (preemptive strike, yes, the companies could catch this, but why wouldn't they do this today before trials?)...

My numbers were slightly off.

"Beta-blockers reduce the risks of secondary heart attacks and were widely used in Europe during the mid-'70s. The FDA imposed a moratorium on beta-blocker approvals in the U.S. because of the drug's carcinogenicity in animals. Finally, in 1981, FDA approved the first such drug, boasting that it might save up to 17,000 lives per year. That meant as many as 100,000 people might have died from secondary heart attacks waiting for FDA approval."

so you're complaining about actions the FDA took, or didn't take, 30+ years ago?

I can sort of see your overall point, but using beta-blockers as your primary example was not a wise choice.
