Ferguson Riots

"In my mind if you are oppressed isn't looting just another form of protesting economically if you have no ownership in the system that's oppressing you?"

Are you fkng kidding me? Then here is another persons response:

"Looting, vandalism, and even violence in my opinion can be acceptable forms of protest. Personally, I, like most, abhor theft, violence, and have respect for property. That being said. What you're suggesting (and I'm agreeing with) is that senseless mayhem is just that, but targeted active disobedience and even destruction makes sense. I'd be more comfortable with a public that targets/destroys symbols and institutions that represent their oppression, than one that does not, is apathetic, or indiscriminately destructive. That kind of behavior sends messages that can be heard. Uncoordinated chaos, targeting of small businesses because "hey free stuff," and "Hulk Smash!" only sends the message that the public is wild and needs to be tamed. This seems to encourage more "police militarization," and opens the door to more race/socioeconomic unequal treatment (profiling etc.)."

Cannot stand people who post about politics on Facebook. Or about religion. Or *****ing more pictures of their food, their latest gf/bf, pictures from high school, links to cat videos, or asking me if I want to play G$ddamn Candy Crush Saga.

So I pretty much hate facebook.

I'm never on facebook so I don't care either. :)

If those people who suffered damage during the riots, if they have insurance they'll be made whole. If not, perhaps they can seek charges against those responsible. Past that, it's time to move on.

That's not true. Insurance policies don't cover damages caused by rioting or war for example. They are screwed.

When he was waking around throwing his temper tantrum like a small child they should've just took his cart and rolled it back inside. Then he'd be free to come claim whatever items he had a receipt for.

Avoiding this kind of riff raff is just one of about a dozen reason I no longer shop at Wal Mart.

Until people call out the ignorance the ignorant will be front and center. The police cannot do it all, all the time. The looters are those who will and do, do wrong when no one is looking and now feel that they can while we look on.

The store owners should get a couple of 12 gauges and start making examples out of the looters.
