I'm honestly more concerned about Spurrier than I am Meyer. In this case I believe the devil you DO know is worse than the one you don't.

I don't think anybody in the SEC is gonna hate ol' Stevie boy worse than Gator fans.

When do you go back to school, Milo? Ours starts back Tuesday.

Milo, it's the BCS period who's at fault for giving the automatic bids for confrence championships in certain confrences imo. If they want to use this system instead of a playoff, they should give the BCS bids to the top 8 teams regardless of confrence. That way you don't wind up with #20 in the Fiesta and #4 in the Holiday.

The top 8 in the BCS.... It'll never happen. The whole purpose for the BCS was a matchup of #1 and #2. All other matchups are to make the conferences happy.... because without the conferences all in agreement... there would be no #1vs#2.

Regarding the Big East.... they got another pass again.... and this time its not the old bed the BCS will be lying in.... The BCS is counting Louisville's ranking as part of the 'rule' for the possible loss of a conference's automatic bid. Louisville is 10th in the BCS, while Pitt is 21st. This 'rule' is commonly referred to as the "Big East Rule"....

The "Big East" rule says that "The automatic selection of the original BCS conference champions is subject to review and possible loss of automatic selection by the BCS should the conference champion not have an average ranking of 12 or higher over a four-year period."

2001 Miami 1st
2002 Miami 1st
2003 Miami 9th
2004 Louisville 10th (instead of Pitt 21st)

4-year average (w/ Louisville) = 5.3
4-year average (w/ Pittsburgh)= 8.0

That means that next season's champion of the Big (L)east could be ranked as low as 28th. However, if Pitt's ranking was used for this season, the champion of the Big (L)east would have to be at least 17th.

And if the Big Least fails to meet that requirement, does their bid get switched to an at-large bid?
