#1 The average per recruit is misleading as the official rank is. That would put a school like Florida in the Top 40, and they are currently ranked 77th and aren’t going to climb much higher until after early signing period. Plus you can’t really project what will happen in a class like that since they only have 7 commits.
#2 The. composite ratings are nice to get a grip on where you are at, but ultimately none of it matters because each evaluating service rates our players differently.
According to 247 recruiting ratings we have 5 4 star players signed. According to On3 we have 7 4 star players signed.
We have the 17th rated class on 247 non composite rating, and the 20th class according to on3. On Rivals we have the 19th rated class, but only 3 4 star players.
Then you have ESPN included in the composite, who have us ranked 31st, with 4 4 star players signed. ESPN recruiting rankings freaking suck. They have for years. Even Scout was better than them.
